Tom's of Maine Natural Kid's Fluoride Toothpaste, Silly Strawberry, 5.1 oz. (back in original formula)

Excellent toothpaste. Good formula, good flavor and quality, robust and convenient packaging. I would not let my kid soak it in water but there is hardly any other toothpaste that can withstand such an abuse. So, it is not a minus, just a comment.My kid is very picky when it comes to toothpastes. He fell in love with his "baby" strawberry toothpaste but grew out of it. And he just did not want to switch to anything else — either the texture "was not right", the flavor was "yucky", etc.. In utter desperation I tried Tom's of Maine Anticavity Fluoride Children's Toothpaste and it worked!IMO, it is a very personal thing, especially when it comes to kids and flavors. Some hate the taste of "orange", others hate "strawberries" and oftentimes you cannot tell what will actually work until you try. The acceptance of the toothpaste was important to me because it made the training a bit easier but I also paid attention to the formula. In our case fluoride-free toothpastes just did not work. And we had to go for something safe and relatively strong. Btw., the packaging is also good — sealed from the factory making it easier to preserve the toothpaste in the storage and it is easy to squeeze by the kid.

A great toothpaste for people with allergies to regular toothpaste, even adults. This toothpaste has no taste as far as I can tell. However, it was one of only two toothpastes on my approved list for people with allergies to toothpaste. The other toothpaste listed was about twice as expensive and this one is quite satisfactory. The name, Silly Strawberry, is a mystery to me as it has no taste and is between a gray and tan color, not pink or red. Maybe that's why they call it Silly Strawberry. It works well and has no negative issues for me. It comes with or without fluoride.

only toothpaste our daughter will use! Thank goodness for a non-minty, not overly sweet toothpaste that our child can tolerate. I will say she is 6.5 yrs old and hasn't had a single cavity, which has been amazing. Yes, she has decent genetics here for strong teeth, but the best genetics are only half the picture - you really need good toothpaste to help protect your teeth. WE are really pleased with this and will continue to use it for quite some time as we don't see her learning to like mint any time soon! our daughter likes silly strawberry the best, and frutilicious is a close second. She does not like the mango flavor much.

I never tried the old the flavor, but I swapped to this one after I could no longer take Crest and Tollgate anymore due to the burn of my tongue and tongue sensitivity. This version doesn't burn and the flavor isn't bad, it's tolerable, but if defiantly has the chalky layer on your tongue like the film after eating boxed cereal or taking chewable antacids. It doesn't last long but it's not that refreshing feel the big brands offer.(Possibly or just random with me issue)I noticed this one tends to make me salivate more then the minty big brands which could be the fluoride amount. I have to spit 2x more during brushing then normal, but Fluoride rinses at the dentist have me spitting several times before I even get o my car, so take that as maybe a personal medical condition so take it with a grain of salt if you don't foam at the dentist on the way out after a fluoride gargle.

She likes it, she likes it. I think it smells like spoiled milk, but she thinks its awesome and the only toothpaste she likes. Kids are weird. It works good, no cavities. The cap is easy for the 5 year old to open by herself, squeeze onto her toothbrush by herself, and close by herself, and stand back up nice on the counter by herself. What is not to love here? It's Tom's of Maine, a quality company with good ingredients, in a three pack for excellent value. The flavor is mild, not super sugary sweet, a simple soft flavoring of real strawberry not candy store imitation strawberry flavor.

I use this as my toothpaste as well as my sons toothpaste. Great strawberry taste a major change from all that minty stuff I really cant stand. I just rinse with a fluoridated mouthrinse as well instead of the other non-fluoridated one. My son is one and he isn't a big fan of the popular bubble gum flavors they have mainly for kids, he fought with me and the toothbrush when I used the crest bubble gum flavor but I like that this natural, minimum ingredients, and still gets the job done with out the fight because he loves the flavor. I only smear it like on the corner of his brush since it is fluoridated and he is very young but has alot of his teeth already and plus our water is also fluoridated. But even that little smear gets a smile on his face and he is actually eager to do some brushing of his own!!

I have a mint allergy which makes finding a decent toothpaste a pain in the butt. As kid's toothpaste is the only option that is not cinnamon I have to look there for toothpaste but even then they taste bad or weird and rarely have enough flouride for cavity protection. This toothpaste, on the other hand, doesn't taste bad, doesn't have mint, is cheap, and has enough flouride! The only downside is that, because it doesn't have much additives, the non foaming properties take a few times to get used to but the toothpaste still does its job by making my teeth feel clean and protected. Definitely recommend buying this if you can't have mint or cinnamon toothpaste and are looking for a good alternative.
