Will it open bigger bottles of wine?

Yes...easy to use. To those who say it doesn’t work or breaks: Watch the video. If you don’t understand you may misuse or break it, but it’s super-simple to use it the right way. I use it in my work opening high-end wine on the daily.

Can you take this item on an airplane? Through security, not in your checked-in baggage.

I own three such openers. I have over 2 million miles on United, I million on Delta and about 1 million combined on other airlines combined. I have traveled with an Ah so since before 9-11. I have never had one confiscated but I have had numerous corkscrews taken. Can it be used as a weapon - certainly. Probably easier than a cork screw. In fact I had it easily at hand after 9-11 as I was back in the air the following week. And BTW I also travel with a vintager Gillette safety razor. just don't have the blade in the razor. -- TSA may find a gun or a manicure set with scissors or more than 4 oz. of fluid but beyond that -- not overly impressed.
