will this be a suitable replacement for Briggs & Stratton 697190, engine: 31c707 ?

Good evening Anon. I bought one of these carbs a year ago for an Intek 15.5 engine. as far as I know it is pretty standard for all the Briggs engines from 13 hp to the 19hp variations. The engine model nos make very little sense as there are hundreds of them. All you need to do is make sure that it fits the flange, and that the venturi is approximately the same size. measure the diameter of the old one and if it is the same it is correct. If not it's all wrong. the venturi size determines the air to fuel mixture, flowing through the intake manifold/pipe. I hope this makes sense to you now. Laughably these carbs are made in the same factory as the original part. different brand names are stamped on these things the only difference is the price.
