Amazing first single-cup coffee brewer!
This is THE BEST coffee maker! Nothing was wrong with the old Cuisinart 14-cup maker, but living alone, I found that often I just didn't need a giant pot of coffee. I didn't want to get something that only uses capsules, so this drew my attention because of the "use your own" coffee feature. It's surprisingly great for the price! It holds a larger amount of water than expected (about three good-sized cups worth). It's pretty quiet, and the coffee brews hot (about an 8 out of 10 on the temperature). The design is pretty modern, and it doesn't take up much space on my counter. I think it will last quite a while, as it's been making me a lot of coffee over the last few months. I love that the grinder is helping me go through so many bags of coffee beans!

it operates as it should & no issues so far
I’ve had a multitude of different coffee makers, both pods and beans. The last one I had was a Tishcibo and I have to say it was the worst one I’ve ever encountered. It was very complicated if you wanted to get a quick cup of coffee, this one is very simple, very straightforward and it makes a great cup of coffee. It also was highly sensitive and things had to be just perfect or it wouldn’t work and it was most annoying. I don’t find that at all with this machine. It’s very straightforward and simple.it tends to be a quiet machine with the exception of the grinding, which I can’t complain about it all that’s a 15 second process. There are no coffee ground deposits in my cup. They do fly around when the grinding process is ongoing however, they give you a brush to make sure the pod that is holding the ground. The top is clean and you insert it clean and the coffee comes out ground free. There are some grounds that accumulated at the bottom but seriously over the course of several weeks it amounts to less than anyone needs to worry aboutI hope the salad workings of this machine continues. That’s why I went to a Cuisinart. I like the fact that you can grind your own beans and add a pod if you choose or guest chooses.

Makes a mess!
As other reviewers have reported, the machine spews grounds all over. I contacted Cuisinart. Their customer service rep told me that the company is aware of the problem, but he did not know if or when a solution would be offered.Since I thought that some reduction in wasted coffee grounds might be achieved by having a second filter basket and holder and immediately inserting it under the grinder after the full one is removed, I asked if Cuisinart would send me a set at no cost. The rep said no. I said that since doing so might be beyond his authority level (the retail price is about $12, probably costs them a few cents for the product and a few dollars for postage), please ask someone who could make the decision. After some time on hold, the answer was still no. I'm returning mine. There might be a relatively easy fix, such as placing a small cup under the grinder to catch stray grinds, or a large tray under the whole machine, but I bought this to make my life easier, not harder. And I don't want to waste coffee. Already an expensive commodity, it's only likely to increase in cost as tariffs kick in, since virtually all coffee is grown outside the United States.I've been happy with other Cuisinart products, and other than the grounds leakage, it seems well made, but unless and until they fix the problem, I'll stick with my separate grinder and brewer, or find another combo machine from a different maker.

Makes a good cup, easy to use, but...
It's a good single cup coffee maker, with some flaws... To be transparent around my rating, I bought two of these, so the flaws were not enough to keep me from buying another one when it dialed, but it did fail after a year and some months of moderate to heavy use (5-6 cups a day) The Bean hopper is large enough for several good cups of coffee. If I had to be critical, I wish the container side raised up a touch over the motor hub, as there's competition for space as you fill beans. The motor takes up 50% of the space, so beans bounce off it like it's their last shot at freedom. The first device would always make a sound like it's got a pump running quietly. After a while, all the lights would blink and needed to be unplugged. Coffee cup size would at some point become inconsistent... Eventually, this would be the startup ritual... until something inside finally gave up and I work to water all over the counter and the coffee maker inoperable. After replacing it, it's back to the well functioning single cup I've enjoyed. We will see if this is a chronic issue or just a single worn out unit and update from there. Other than those flaws, it's a really good sing cup maker with an integrated grinder!Coffee temperature:Not quite boiling hot, you can get to drinking immediately Durability:Ish. First one lasted a bit over a year. Taste:Makes a good cup. Your beans will come through. Size:It's compact and easily desk worthy. Fits any countertop.

easy to use, and you have fresh coffee!
Personally, I like it a lot. Every morning I grind the coffee beans and make a delicious coffee. It's practical and quick to prepare. For the price, I think it's great!

Love this little coffee machine
This is a great coffee pot, I love it!!!When grinding your beans, just gently tap the gray pod before sliding out. It will compact the coffee grinds slightly so nothing spills when taking it out.
