So secure
Was using a much cheaper knock-off of the Peak Design clip until I got this. It's more expensive (a little TOO expensive in my opinion) but it does the job wonderfully. Feels so secure and solid, I no longer constantly worry about the clip unscrewing or the metal cracking and my camera or lens getting broken. Glad I paid a bit extra for the peace of mind this has brought when out hiking.

Excellent
This product is brilliant. The quality is fantastic, everything feels very durable. The clip system works really well and fits various different thickness bag straps. The mount slides in and out the holder with ease and the lock gives that extra bit of security. The ability to quickly detach it to adjust its placement or swap to another bag is priceless for me, I do a lot of walking and swap bags frequently. I use it with an a6000 so haven't tried it with a heavier system. I've tried the peak design version and this is much better for me purely due the clip system and it's cheaper! My only minor gripe is that after walking for a few hours the back of the holder digs in to your chest, the weight of the camera means the back is not sat flush and could do with some padding on it.Well done PGYTECH

Expensive but soooooo useful.
I don't know why these clips (not just this pgytech one, but in general) are so expensive. I put off getting one for ages because of the price, so just used my neck strap and/or bag, which work fine, but this makes it so much easier to just slot your camera away to free up your hands and quickly get it ready again when you need it. Assuming you have a halfway decent backpack, it's going to be a lot more comfortable to use this than your neck strap. The camera doesn't sway about knocking into things, it's nice and secure out of the way. I love using it, to the point that I sometimes take my backpack when I don't really need it. This Pgytech clip is a bit cheaper than a lot of the competitors and is much easier to unclip and reclip to a different strap when needed which is a massive bonus for me. Recommended.

An awesome camera clip for run and gun photography
This is another one of those 'Why didn't I buy one sooner?' accessories. It wont make you a better photographer but will make your photography better (or rather easier).I first tried a different (cheaper and nastier) make of camera clip several years ago and I hated it because the plate kept jamming in the clip. It was strong enough to hold anything I hung from it, but the hassle of almost twisting my arm off to release the camera from my shoulder strap - or taking off the entire bag in frustration whilst trying not to damage my camera - made me regret the purchase.Fast forward five years and countless missed photo opportunities because my camera was inside my bag as I walked, I decided to look again at camera clips because my photography is changing to include longer hikes and less tripod use (especially seeing as how IBIS now provides greater potential for handheld shooting).I couldn't justify the cost of similar products from Peaky Designers, but the PGYTECH Beetle was 30% cheaper and well reviewed, so I took the plunge. Awesome decision. It's well made with a sleek anodised finish, and it's effortlessly simple to clip onto my shoulder strap without the need to fiddle with mounting screws (which cause much of the jamming I experienced previously).I especially like the locking mechanism to prevent accidental release, but if you mount the clip correctly so your camera slides in from above then it shouldn't fall out unless you're hanging upside down (bungee jumping photographers beware!).The camera plate is Arca-Swiss compatible for ball head mounting, and you can also buy additional plates and a quick release clamp which mounts to tripods, allowing you to transfer your camera from shoulder to tripod in less time that it takes you to say it.I won't be suspending a heavy wildlife lens from this thing even though it claims to hold up to 30kg, but it's held my Z8 and 24-120 without any concerns at all (although I also attach a wrist strap from the camera to a carabiner as a means of secondary retention just in case). It's comfortable, durable and has so far held up to a variety of hikes through mountains, forests and beaches. And yes I've been able to capture fleeting moments as I stroll along, which has made my photography much more enjoyable.I'd heartily recommend this item to anyone.

It really works 👍
Great piece of equipment, solidly made and easy to attach even to a padded rucksack strap. Camera mounts solidly and stays put. Turns out to be much more comfortable and give hands free movement than a neck strap or shoulder strap. Was nice and comfortable way to carry my D6ii and 24-120 lens around all day, ready for grabbing when needed. I have a wrist strap fitted to camera so I just thread the rucksack chest strap through it instead of my wrist - giving extra security/peace of mind when camera is mounted are in use.

It's Amazing!
It attaches very positively, meaning that it doesn't slip at all, and feels very reassuring. I've taken my camera up a couple of mountains, climbed, and run a bit with this, and despite getting sandy and wet at times hasn't had any issue functioning exactly as it should. A must have for situations where you need to be hands free!

well built, easy to use
So i opted for this camera clip over a one from another brand and im pleased to say its been brilliant, i bought it specifically for a trip to disneyland paris. The clip itself i had clipped directly on the shoulder strap of my rucksack it has a clever mechanism that allows it to fit a padded shoulder strap. The clip comes with a mounting plate to screw into the base of the camera same as a tripod shoe, this then slots into the clip allowing the camera to sit there. To release the camera there is a push button to operate then just lift the camera out, as a final bit of security this button can be rotated 90 deg and effectively locks so the camera cant be removed. While walking round the parks over the 4 days the camera always felt safe and secure and taking it off the clip was nice and easy, great product well worth the money
