National Hardware N165-902 Gate Cane Bolt, 1/2" x 12", Coated with WeatherGuard Protection, Black Plated Steel

It's a cane bolt. They would have to work extra hard to mess up a cane bolt.This one works just fine, is decently finished, is thick and hard, and is stamped well with proper guide nubs (whatever they're called). Buy this one for the competitive price. I'd buy it again in a second.

I have double wooden doors that open out onto my large wood balcony that overlooks Main Street. I always had to prop the doors open with chairs, but these Cane Bolts worked perfectly as door stops. I drilled holes into the wood decks and drop the rods into the holes to keep the doors open. Great construction. Quality paint job. I am sure they are going to outlive me and the building.

The cane bolts are straight and even through out making perpendicular installation simple. Application is easy and secure. It would have been nice to have short hollow inserts that the bolts slide into on the frame where the bolts anchor the doors closed. Holes could be drilled out and the inserts placed to prevent enlargement of the anchoring holes over time.

We've used these before and found that these are very sturdy and very long lasting we would highly recommend this product

Needed these for double gate in yard fence. Easy to install. No complaints.

Addition to wooden gates is a plus.

I put this on the gate to hold it steady as the winds are so strong here my gate kept moving, not now so secure and both easy to install and use. I bought one for each gate, glad I did!

Worked okay for my application but not the best quality.
