SNES in Style: Brilliant adaptor to use new controllers on retro console.
Small and unobtrusive. Once paired to your controller just hit a button on the joypad and they sync up in literally no time. The Wii U Pro controllers work like a charm. Why buy old controllers on leads you otherwise don't need? If you want to snaz up you SNES, these are for you.

Perfect
Perfect for wireless retro gaming. Works really well with my original snes. I paired it with a Switch wireless snes controller and they work beautifully together.

Amazing
Amazing piece of kit. I’ve used it on my PAL SNES, Super Famicom Jr. and Retron5 (Even though the Retron doesn’t need it). It works perfectly also the update process is simple. The unit fit into controller ports great. If you want to play retro consoles but either don’t have controllers or don’t want cords then buy this and pair with the 8Bitdo controllers. You won’t be upset

Brilliant and a must have for any wireless retro SNES gamer
Absolutely perfect bit of kit this. Links to the 8bitdo, Switch, etc controllers easily, and has very little discernible lag. Ideal for living room based couch-play miles away from the big TV! Tight fit into the SNES port but no problems so far. I should buy another just in case.

Great
Minimal lag, works perfectly.Excellent for playing the SNES on a large-screen TV (via an OSSC) in the front room without having to sit close to the TV.

Utterly useless
I bought this to connect to a Super NT with an original SNES controller port. The device simply refused to connect to any device it declares compatibility with.I tried connecting an official 8bitdo SF30, an official xbox one controller and an official PS4 controller. One by one I tried each controller, power cycling the controller each time. I'd set this reciever and the controller to pairing mode, but they'd just keep flashing away until the controllers timed out due to not successfully pairing with any reciever.I tried changing the reciever firmware with the 8bitdo firmware programe. It updated fine. I tried current firmware, older firmware and even the newest beta firmware. All with the same results. This just does not work at all. I've opened a return to send the device back to Amazon. Back to a wired controller for now!

An excellent product marred by poor compatibility
SNES pads are getting on for 30 years old, and unsurprisingly the rubber inside them is deteriorating. It's been a while since I've been happy with the accuracy of any that I've owned (I've tried various rubber replacement parts, and they're all awful). This device addresses this, allowing pairing with bluetooth pads. However, there's only one bluetooth pad I really want to pair it with - Nintendo's own SNES bluetooth pad. There have been vague promises from 8bitdo that this functionality is forthcoming, but to date they still haven't followed through. The day they do, I'll revisit my review here, but until then it's a great device with a glaring shortcoming.
