Yes they are compatible with dbrand they fit perfect.

Do they fall out of place if you shift or move the console? How exactly do they attach?

So they do not shift at all due to the weight of the console holding them in place. They are crafted to slip specifically onto each end. I guess if You are playing on a ship or live near fault lines they may shift a little, in which case you may want to attach them permanently.I set mine on top of a case of beer box and it never moves or shifts. They work perfect for me.

Do they ship with the proper skates for PS5 disc instead of 2 of the same skate?

There's actually a different part number between the disc and digital version. Make sure to purchase the correct one, but yes the skate fornthe disc side is different.

How tall when laying horizontal?

Pretty much the same height as with the stand that comes the PS5
