well, where do i start, This a great little solid radio that will easily fit in your pocket with programming via a two pin lead (Kenwood style), USB C lead and also they have add via bluetooth, so if you are are out and about you can program on the go by using your phone. not many radios around that support bluetooth programming.It has two PTT so you save from changing freq/channels when on dual watch.The menu is easy to navigate and a great colourful screen. (Chirp is supported if you want to program via PC)Reception and audio is great, i can hit my local repeater with no worries.A great little feature i like is the breathing LEDs, they come on when the screen goes off to save power. reminds you that the radio is still on. The battery also has its own USB charging socket, so if you get another batt you can charge it separately.In the box you get the whip antenna, charging dock,battery, wrist strap,belt clip, USB C lead and the easy to follow manual.A bargain radio.

Had an issue with connectivity with my new H3 and contacted TIDradio for support. They decided to simply replace by radio… which I think arrived within 3 or 4 days. Excellent customer service.The radio itself I find easy to set up and use (the supplied manual is decent). It is very configurable and can operate in Ham, GMRS or Unlocked modes, receives airband well and also receives FM broadcast band. There is a useful inbuilt torch / strobe function built in. The radio will start up in dual-watch mode, but can be easily switched to single channel operation for simplicity. This is a very good low cost handheld, and in testing, I can see it transmits very cleanly on the bands tested.A really useful feature that makes it better than most alternatives is bluetooth comms, enabling it to connect to an app for easy frequency management. This works really well… and it works with CHIRP software too, for those who are used to it.Highly recommended.

Great little handheld, but user beware. This is my 2nd one as they are great. The issue is the battery. It's been well documented on various websites that there is an issue when charging. There seems to be an issue with the built-in BMS on the battery. When showing full (green light on the cradle), with power still applied, it reads over 15v. As soon as the power supply is removed, it drops to the correct voltage for use in the radio. Bottom line is don't charge the battery on the radio. It may damage the handset. Charge separately off the radio in the cradle or by the USB-C socket. I have 3 batteries and they are all the same.

I tried to cancel the order but Amazon sent it anyway because I had a feeling this was gonna be pants.Had this a few days and not found a single signal! I originally got it to listen to airband, as we get a lot of aircraft overhead plus living close to RAF Cosford, but this has not picked up a single signal...like at all!!!I had to test the FM radio lol to check it recieved something and that worked lol but thats about it.WARNING - The software sucks!Example: The radio supports listening to CB channels which start at "27.60125" try saving this in the software and it rejects it as "Invalid" lol (Good Job!)While many users will tell you to use software called "CHIRP" this requires an additional data cable which is not included and im not about to waste anymore time or money on this thing.Charging - Keep In MindThere have been reports that the charging cradle can cause battery and in somecases radio issues! Many people have suggested not charging with it and instead charging it via the battery USB port itself.. This to me is just not good enough! If im paying for a device with a charging cradle I want it to work without risks or comprimise otherwise its useless. That being said I did charge it via the cradle upon first arrival, it took about 5 hours!!!!I may take less time to charge pluging direct into the battery... I have not tried this and have no intention of trying this as its being returned.I have scanned the airband many times!, and despite living under a flight path I still dont pick anything up.I stuck with it for a few days now, and im just finding it a pointless brick... its too small to be a door stop.I like the size but even that gets annoying after a few hours because the buttons are so small.I have tried scanning other bands as well as entering a few "Repeaters" all have returned a big fat juicy nothing burger!Not sure if this is just a bad unit or a previous customer return lol but its been an epic fail either way.Finally, Dont believe the hype! Many YouTubers are pushing this device because they are affiliates of Amazon or other "Chinese" companies. So they make money from your purchases -> Everyone has an agenda it seams!I was going to try the "TD H3 Plus" but this experience has totally put me off... Meh!I really wanted to love this HT. The build quality is good, its packed with great features but all this is useless if you cant receive a single signal other then commercial FM radio stations.I cant answer for the transmission side as I could not find anyone to test it with lol.This has been my honest opinion! I dont like leaving poor reviews but this device infuriated me so much in the end.
