Will router work in South Africa?

If mobile phone signals are the same in South Africa as elsewhere then I can’t see why not. This works with a SIM card linked to whatever phone network you have. It works like a hotspot. I have one in Belfast and I use a cheap but unlimited data SIM. the only problems I have are because the phone company doesn’t have good signal. It’s sometimes a slower signal. But Ive had it on holiday in England and it’s been consistent.

Compact go anywhere including abroad.

Works well. Gets better signal than my phone. Does not do 2.4 and 5 Ghz wifi simultaneously. Better on 2.4. Had 50 mbs download speed this morning.

Returned after a day, weak performance.

Returned it after a day, tried an EE and Three sim and it could barely get anything more than either 2 bar 3G or in rare cases 1 bar 4G and this was in a large living room with hardly any interference. Phones get full bars and 4G.So don't know if it's the antennas or the modem that are weak (fairly certain it's both) but I'm incredibly disappointed for the price tag of the product.My friends Vodafone RG219 performs miles better than this and it's easy to find one if those for less than a third of the cost of this TP-Link device.
