Good Directions Fire Pit Spark Screens, 27" Diameter, Steel

Since we sometimes (doubtless not the best move) use our fire pit for burning very hot things like manzanita debris, the screening on the lid to the fire pit got destroyed. This replacement is the perfect fit and of high quality. The handle is nicer than our original one. So glad it was available at a fair price.

Way higher quality than expected, especially for the price. Item is thick metal and heavy.

Works very well

A good bargain. You can pay many times this much. It works, although it warped and turned white after the first use (maybe they all do that). It is still serviceable, and keeps big pieces of ash or cinders from flying. I actually bought it so my dog would quit digging in the ash, but I like it for when I have paper or other sparks flying that I don't want to worry about. The handle doesn't really fit the holes, but if you put a washer on each side of the screen, it goes together nicely. Basically, the holes provided for the handle are about twice as big as the handle would need, so the nut tries to walk right through the hole. An easy fix if you have washers around. I'm not sure why the holes don't match the hardware, or why washers weren't included, but for the $50 I saved, I can provide a couple washers. I like it, and I'd recommend it to anybody except if they want something very ornamental.

The fire screen just arrived and the quality looks very good, the stainless is non magnetic which indicates it is a good quality stainless. It is beautiful to look at but I understand it won’t be after it is used. I expect it to turn dark and know the screen may warp but I’m OK with that and know that is normal for stainless steel. I think it will hold up and not rust through which is why I spent the extra money for stainless

Nice fire pit screen, when covered with firepit cover guarantees water will run off and not stand on firepit cover. Sparks are safely contained on windy night around the firepit !!

Disappointed that the screen had a few dents, a scratch and there was a little rust on the frame as well. For the price, I expected better. It was packaged very well and the box was not dented so it can’t be blamed in delivery service. Not worth my time to rebox and send it back so I will deal.
