Game changer!
1. Nicely designed, simple and sturdy! The material grips any surface and you don't have to worry about it moving around. The design is also sleek and fits nicely on top of my baby's dresser. 2. The smart scale is game changing. I had encountered so many feeding issues with my first baby that I knew I needed a scale at home with the second. I can't tell you how exhausting and stressful it was to go to the hospital every 2 days to check my baby's weight and ensure he was getting enough milk. The scale and app work flawlessly and are pretty easy to use. 3. It's a changing pad too so one less bulky item to keep around! Very easy to clean which is a plus when you have a new born for sure. I highly recommend this product, especially for new moms. It will bring you so much reassurance and take the guessing out of a stressful situation!

So handy
I purchased this thinking I would be using it to weigh baby before/after breastfeeding. Unfortunately, my breastfeeding journey was cut short due to supply issues. BUT I still use the scale feature all the time. It's really nice to know how much she's weighing, the app is also super handy in keeping track of all sorts of things. It is a little more expensive, but for us totally worth it. I will say the pad is made of some sort of plastic, so it's a hard surface, baby doesn't seem to mind as long as she's not on there for a long time. It's super easy to clean, but we still put a pad down to make cleaning it even easier.

The product is very good but their service is PHENOMENAL!
The scale works great and the app is extremely useful for tracking all sorts of growth and feeding metrics. The padding fairly firm and lightly pebbled. Our little one had a blowout and it took me probably 5 minutes of scrubbing HARD with a magic eraser to get it off. For that reason, we now leave a folded receiving blanket on the scale at all times. The mounts that hold the rubber padded feet are made of very delicate plastic. If you move the scale across a counter or surface, you have to LIFT and PlACE it to avoid breaking them. When one of the feet broke on our scale, we reached out to Hatch via chat and they offered to replace it totally free and had us simply discard the broken unit. When the replacement arrived, it also had a broken foot. We contacted them again via chat and they again sent out a replacement. We had to update the scale's firmware through the app but once we did that, we're up and running again. We were so pleasantly surprised with their customer service and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Designed to Break Itself and Your Wallet!!!
Worst scale and a total rip-off! The scale broke after a year and a half and since the warranty is only a year they wouldn’t do anything for me except give me 20% off. The “loading cells” are so delicate , evidently moving it to clean can break them. Why advertise it as a changing station when it Is obviously going to take some kind of movement and “downward pressure”. It claimes to have a weight limit of 44 pds. Well I guess don’t put a heavy baby on it or let the baby kick. According to their email to me “Grow is damaged when more than 44lbs of pressure has been applied to the scale which breaks the weighing mechanism.” It claims to be accurate to .25 oz but I rarely got repeatable result and often had to take multiple measurements to even get an idea . It is known that this scale is one of the most inaccurate. This company exploits new parents who want to measure newborn feedings. I completely regret this purchase. If I had had more time and energy to do more research after my baby was born, I would have seen that they are not only one of the most innacurate but have the worst warranty for scales. I am assuming they want parents to repeatedly buy this after it breaks after warranty expires , or expect them to throw it away after a year if they have only one child . There are many scales that are much better. This thing for me now is nothing more than a overpriced changing pad. My advice is to either get the Health-o-meter grow with me which has a 10 YEAR WARRANTY or Hopkins Featherweight Baby Scale which has a 3 year warranty and graduations of .16 oz and is only 40 dollars more than the stupid Hatch grow. Or just take the time to do more research. I’ve heard you can rent professional grade scales and even for around 300 you can buy a professional grade scale. The Hatch grow is not durable and won’t last through multiple children . It didn’t even last through one child for me. No Hatch. I’m not going to use your 20% off to buy your product again. I’m not stupid enough to spend another 100 dollars to replace it when it is obviously just going to break again.

Awesome product
Not only is it a great scale but also an awesome changing pad. It makes clean up when you have a mess so much easier than the standard changing pads. Initially, I was worried about how hard the surface was but my baby got use to it in no time. The scale has been great because I would use it to measure feeds to ensure my baby had enough during breastfeeding. I initially thought it would be a lot of work to weight every feed but it wasn’t at all after you get the hang of it. My baby is also very wiggly but the product has no issues weighting her. Definitely worth the money for this. Would highly recommend.

Consistent and accurate
I bought this product because I am still recovering from labor and am unable to leave the house to do a weighted feed anywhere. My baby lost a bit too much weight between birth and the first pediatrician visit. I wanted to be sure she was eating enough and gaining enough weight between that visit and her one month visit. We had our one month visit today, and her weight is very consistent with what this scale has been showing. The consistent weights along with the weighted feeds works great. I was happily surprised that the scale locks on easily to the baby when she's wiggling. The weighted feed also appears to be accurate; I have done it several times over the last few days and it shows a range consistent with how long my baby is feeding and her weight/what she should be eating for her age. Considering this duals as a changing pad, I wish I'd have bought this before buying a changing pad. As a scale alone, it does a great job. I will echo what others have mentioned on the cons side that opening the app can be annoying when you have a crying baby, but I'm not sure what solution there is to that since the app also lets you log diapers, pumping, feeding, etc. It's a great app. It also does round to the .25 oz, which is fine for my baby because she wasn't a premie, but may not work for people who need more accurate amounts.

Worth it for the concerned, data loving parent
Our baby was born 5lbs full-term so we constantly stress about if he’s gaining weight. With breastfeeding there is no way to know exactly how much he was feeding so we wanted a scale to help guide us. The Hatch has been perfect for this. I can’t speak to how precise it is (I didn’t place a scientifically measured weight on it to see what it said) but I will say based on the weights at the doctors office it’s very good. It is great for consistency... pre- and post- feed weighs and showing over the course of a week or few days the progress the little guy is making. What’s even better is the app. It is necessary to use the scale (there is no screen that shows the weight). But it records the weights, feed time/amounts, diapers, timing and duration of feeds, sleep, pumping schedule, etc. You can enter data manually or hit the start button and have the app record it for you. There is a dashboard that keeps the info readily available so you know when the next feed will be.

Decent as a scale, not great as a changing table
This scale is nice to have to track a baby's weight. Honestly, after about 2 weeks you're probably going to forget/not care anymore about regularly tracking weight. The app is pretty good. You have to randomly zero out the scale about half the time, but not the other half which is annoying. You can calculate how much a baby eats by weighing before and after a feeding, but again, half the time the app glitches and erases the initial weight. The changing pad itself is cold and slick. My baby spends the whole diaper change in a moro position with arms and legs outstretched, rocking back and forth and sliding around way more than on any other type of surface. The contours aren't very high so without the little belt to hold him down (which falls off the scale way too easily), he seems very at risk of rolling himself off. He's only 3w old so when he's actually able to move around even more, I can't imagine how easily he could roll himself off. But that kinda slick material is easy to clean, so there's your trade-off.
