No issues (yet)
Replaced old Craftsman unit. Mostly fit into the same mounting holes. Make sure to follow the instructions to a “T” and use only the sensors and controls in the box. Adjustment is easy and intuitive. It’s is much quieter and the remote reach is much farther than the old unit. Pleased so far.

Good
Seems low quality but has a lot of features and works great for the price.

I just installed two of these
Just got done installing two of these (in different homes). The installation was relatively easy with the instructions being clear. It does help to have two people but this is true for any garage door opener. Took about 3 hours to do for the first one and about 2 hours to do the 2nd. This included removing the previously mounted broken units.I would recommend having a few extra bolt and screws for the ceiling mount if replacing a previous garage door opener as you will need 6 if using the included adapter (which is needed if the distance from the door to the ceiling mount is not exactly overlapping with the attachment points on this device (which it wasn't with either install of mine). As others have mentioned, it's significantly more quiet than previous generation openers which is a nice bonus.

Good unit.
It works great once you get put together. I give this a four star because some of the instructions are vague at first could not find the instructions for programing the remotes at first. They are on a small sheet hidden down in the wall remote, which would be ok if the big instructions advised that. Ther is a lot to this and unless you are willing to do alot of reading and Also, the metal brackets to hold up the unit are a bit flimsy. I ended up using the ones from my old opener. I think that the reason this unit is often return is because it is a bit complicated to put together.

5 Stars – Solid Opener, Works Great
The Genie Chain Drive 550 (Model 2035-TKO) works exactly as expected. It’s reliable, sturdy, and opens and closes the garage door smoothly every time. The included instructions are decent, but I’d recommend checking out some YouTube videos as well—there are some really helpful step-by-step guides that make installation even easier. Overall, great value for the price and does the job well!

Install was like cake!
I just installed this today and it took me less than two hours , but I just changed the motor head. My rails and chain from my other old one was in good shape because I oil them twice a year and they run smoothly. After scanning the directions I was able to install this pretty quick , the center rail lined up perfectly and I also used my existing safety beam sensors. I wired everything up and installed the wall control and it worked immediately , I just had to tweak the buttons a little to get it to go down all the way. After I figured it out everything worked correctly , the only thing I have to do is sinc up the remotes , the directions are a little tricky to understand but I'm sure I'll have no problems. The last thing I'll mention as others have said is how ridiculously quiet this is , my old one was noisy and clanky. This one is smooth as butter and you can barely hear it. Hopefully this will last a long time , I don't know how long my old one was because it was the one that came with my house. It's been working for the 20 years we've lived here. I'm definitely happy I didn't have to replace everything , just the motor. I definitely lucked out on that , I wasn't sure if the existing parts would be compatible. Also the directions are pretty straight forward , which is a good thing because I usually just look at the diagrams and figure out the rest. Definitely pleased with the purchase and a plus is that you can put the lights on separately without the door having to be moved up and down. Which will come in handy in the winter if I'm using the snowblower at night , this will give me added light at night.... update 7/23/23 complete waste of money and not happy , bought this in August of 2022 and now it's dead. Stopped working in April , so basically lasted 8 months. After having continuess issues with needing to reset it to work , it finally just stopped working all together. I tried multiple times to reset it but no luck , basically I have a garage light that I paid over $150.00 for. I am so pissed off about this , my last one lasted well over 20yrs. I do not recommend wasting your money on this junk , reading the reviews it sounds like you're taking a gamble getting a good one or a dud. Now I have to spend another $150-$200 on one from Lowes and probably pay someone to install it because I had major neck surgery and can't lift my head up for long enough time to install another one.

AWESOME
Is working just fine and is quiet, especially if you do your part. I was ready to order a new garage panel door because mine was old and noisy. I ordered some white lithium grease and used and old brush and greased the rollers and everything that moved. You know WHAT, now, I can't even hear it shut. With a little elbow grease, I SAVED MY GARAGE DOOR.
