Good alternative to CLINIQUE balm cleanser
I have been using CLINIQUE balm cleanser for a long time and decided to try Physician's Formula balm cleanser after falling in love with their healthy foundation. The PF cleanser is sold in ~half the size as the CLINIQUE balm cleanser which is why the price is also about half of CLINIQUE. Compare to the CLINIQUE, PF has a very light refreshing smell, which I like a lot. If may not like it if you are sensitive to smell. PF balm is easier to emulsify than the CLINIQUE, however, I would say the cleaning power is about the same. I used it for removing mascara and they both take it off easily. The one thing that I would say that made me prefer the PF is that I noticed I actually do not need to use the cleanser to clean my face one more time after rinsing the balm off. I have combination skin and I always feel that my face feels a little oily still after rinsing the CLINIQUE balm off, but after rinsing PF balm off it feels not slippery anymore (not sure how to describe it exactly but it's like I can feel the mildly increased friction when robbing my fingers against a freshly washed face). If you have dry skin though, PF may be a little dry for you. Definitely take that into consideration if you are interested in buying. Overall, I will likely stick with the PF balm from now on unless CLINIQUE is having a sale on their website.

NOT fragrance free, but works for me.
I've used Physicians Formula products in the past with mixed reviews. I've been in need of a meltaway product like this. I tried one in my Ipsy box once, but have never been able to remember the name. I decided to try this product while looking for a similar product online. First impressions....jar arrived sealed and bubble wrapped. Once opened, it smelled delightful. I've used it to remove all kinds of products, including an allegedly waterproof "tattoo" eyebrow pen. It's pretty simple to use... massage lightly onto skin, wait a few minutes, massage again and rinse. Everything seems to melt right off. The trick really is in waiting and allowing it some time to soften and "melt" the makeup. If you expect results immediately or rinse too soon, you wont get good results. I did not have any problems with residue. However, I use this as a part of my skincare routine. After using this product to remove makeup, I follow up with my regular cleanser, toner, serum (I recommend this one https://amzn.to/36G2V8F ), sheet mask and moisturizer. I genuinely believe this is not a product that should be used alone or as your only cleanser/ One big complaint.... this states it is fragrance free. This is absolutely not true. There is fragrance listed in the ingredients and this has a fairly potent smell. I enjoy it. But I can understand how it would be a problem for people who absolutely need fragrance free productions. I think it smells great, but if you have problems with scented products you're going to want to pick something else up. Edited: I don't wear makeup every day. After taking a makeup hiatus, I needed to use this last night. It's been open 3-4 weeks. It's not rancid. But it's starting to smell a little off. Works fine. But shelf life is important too. Took away 1 star. Would be fine if I wore make up daily.

Great option for cleansing balm
Great cleansing balm from a trusted brand. Removed makeup efficiently. Did not irritate my skin. Make sure you apply a bit of water and work it in before completely washing it off. Left skin feeling both clean and soft. Make sure you go after with a water based cleanser. Thick like other balms.

My Favorite Cleansing Balm!
I have been using this product for YEARS. I love this balm since it doesn’t feel greasy and heavy like many others do. The fragrance is light and has never irritated my skin or broken me out. I find with most other balms they tend to irritate my skin and cause FA flare ups. However, something about this product my skin loves and tolerates very well (usually it hates oil based skin care). I would recommend this to anyone who wears makeup daily since it does a great job at removing light to medium coverage make up. I pair this balm with a water based foam cleanser for the perfect night time skin care routine!

Plastic Smell - better options for same price
This product removed heavy face and eye makeup just fine. It did do the blurred vision thing but almost all cleansing balms do that for me. The biggest con to this is the SCENT. It smells like PLASTIC. It removes make up just fine but the scent is not pleasant. Also, for the price you’re paying here $10-11 for 1 ounce. You could pay $31 for 3.4 ounces of Clinique take the day off balm from Sephora which is 10000000% better.

Well Designed Package&Product!
So far so good, does not seem to irritate my skin and is it nice to apply product, feels pleasant on the skin and I have been using while traveling. Nice to have a little included scooper/spatula to keep things clean and sanitary not to have to stick ones fingers down in a tub of product especially during Covid! Not my top brand for eco-perfection but still has fewer ingredients that are terrible then some products… If concerned run it through the think dirty app and see which ingredients are the worst offenders and choose accordingly. If you like this line of make up for a drugstore grab as I do, I recommend trying it. A little goes a long way and I have yet to go through even one container in almost a year. I don’t use it every single day but it seems like it lasts a long time. Definitely could be shared between partners or family members and seems as if it would be nice for travel since it won’t spill it’s almost close to a solid. I think you would still have to show TSA but not sure… Would be good to find out! I have fairly sensitive skin that breaks out easily and have not noticed any problems from this product that I can tell. Works nicely to remove the thicker mineral powders and such that I wear for sun protection. And isn’t much do you livered the branding and packaging is cute and makes it an attractive enough product to leave out on the counter or on a vanity tray if you like. Glad I tried it, nice product for a drugstore level brands.

I used to only use cleansing balms from Sephora but saw this on sale and tried it. This is really nice! Doesn't clog my large pores and suitable for oily skin. Nice, light fragrance and does the job at removing my sunscreen and make up.

Amazing product! Melts of the makeup so easily. One con is my skin becomes oily afterwards. So I use another face cleanser after removing this one.
