Amazon says drilling is required to install. Is that correct?

I didn't have to do any drilling but I replaced the existing factory receiver hitch. The Draw-Tite 75521 bolted right up to the frame, no drilling at all. Drilling might be required if your truck has never had a receiver hitch but I would think the vehicle manufacturer would provide the appropriate holes in all the truck frames. The GM connector for lights will require an aftermarket bracket that may require drilling to bolt up to the receiver. Hope this helps.

Will it fit a 1993 gmc k1500?

Not sure, but GM has not changed that design much and it fit perfectly on my 2005 Silverado.

will it fit 03 GMC Sierra?

Yes, I installed it in Silverado 1500.
