Easy to use and good sound quality
Button layout makes it very easy to use, even in a fully dark bedroom. Unit is not lit up, which is exactly what I wanted. Great sound quality, and good choice of different white noises or fan sounds. Good volume range too.has really helped my sleeping. I'm very sensitive to background noises, helps drown them out so they don't wake me up.

Finally, Peaceful Sleep on a Noisy Street!
This machine is a life saver. Living on the high street, my sleep was constantly disrupted by traffic noise 24/7. I had tried countless solutions, earplugs, noise-cancelling earphones, and more, but nothing worked. That all changed when I started using this machine. Since then, I haven't been disturbed by traffic noise once. It took me a few nights to experiment with the different sounds and volume levels. This machine has10 different colour noises,10 (or 13?) fan sounds, and a few ocean noises. Surprisingly, quite funny, the best option for me turned out to be classic white noise. Even more interestingly, I found that I didn’t need to play it too loud. Just a gentle humming background noise was enough to mask the traffic during sleep. If you're struggling with noise disturbances at night, I can't recommend this enough!

Top Fan!
- Last few years have been using a Muzo fan to try to mask various sounds that permeate my flat. - It, too some extent worked, though the volume was hard to get just right with its dial, which light up my bedroom with the most incredibly bright LED, which was a bit poor IMHO. - So I took the ‘plunge’ and bought the ‘lectrofan, though quite expensive it already has helped me through a period of the noisy Friday afternoon. - It was so easy to set the sound and volume, much better than the Muzo, plus no ultra bright LED. - I tested its loudness vs a Bluetooth speaker I use for music, an Anker (the small one). - The Anker can produce white house when it’s in radio mode and not able to tune in. - The ‘lectrofan was about the same output, really quite loud! - Which when you need it, it has that ability. - Getting used to the buttons to control its output was super easy as was figuring a sound for it to emit. - Very happy with it, would recommend if like me your neighbour is loud, the outside environment has a tendency to be loud, and on a Friday a loud pump goes off for an hour to sort our building’s fire extinguisher.

Expensive but a great single function device
The EVO is a small matte plastic box, the same shape as a 50p coin but about four inches on a side and sloping to the front, with a number of buttons on the top surrounded by a metal speaker grille. Its only other features are a 3.5mm headphone socket and a thin built-in cable, about four feet long, which leads to a USB-A female connector. A wall plug is provided but I can plug it into a USB-A port on my desktop PC and it is powered. There is no battery, no display, no LED, no Bluetooth and no smartphone support. The noise can be anything from barely audible to astonishingly loud, controlled by a pair of buttons. Another pair of buttons cycle between 10 whitish noises (brown through pink to white), 10 fan noises (anything from "industrial fan" through "exhaust fan" to "oscillating fan") and also ocean and surf effects. The quality of the noises/effects is excellent - there is no indication whatsoever of repetition or looping. Another button allows a timer to be set (one to eight hours); otherwise, the EVO runs continuously. The only other substantial options are a switch between continuous and oscillating noise level and a factory reset - both are done through combinations of buttons. Power consumption is tiny - according to my smart plug, 1 watt. The EVO concentrates on generating and playing noise and has no frills. In my situation it is stunningly effective - noisy upstairs neighbours are completely blocked out, far short of the highest volume setting. It can even fully block the noise of a big Coway air purifier running at its highest setting a few feet from me, which is astonishing. It is far superior to the smartphone/white noise app/Bluetooth speaker combination suggested by various sources, not least because it is zero maintenance. Four stars because £80 is expensive no matter the quality (I got my EVO for a discount, £65). However, it is a great example of a device that performs a well-defined task without fuss but has excellent design and hides a lot of sophistication behind a few buttons.

Worth the extra expense
I used a cheaper noise machine for about a year, and while initially it was fine I eventually noticed the point where the sound looped. It was subtle and fairly well masked, but at 2AM with nothing else to focus on that sort of thing becomes jarring. The Lectrofan Evo doesn't have that problem as the noise is generated not replayed, and the sound quality is significantly higher. The ocean preset (that actually sounds more like rising and falling winds) in particular is wonderfully sleep inducing. This is a more expensive option than most on the market, but I'm happy with the results.

Sooo helpful if you are very sensitive to noise
Really has been a game changer for our family. My daughter has a nervous system disorder and severe misophonia which triggers meltdowns. Since having this in her room she no longer reacts to noises from the lounge below while we’re chatting and watching TV. Happy child, happy parents.

Good relaxing sound as a background

Worth every penny!
I bought this to use in my toddlers room (we're currently living with an elderly relative who likes to slam doors and make cups of tea at 4am) because her room is over the kitchen. She adores it! She likes the sea sounds because they remind her of 'hodderday' (we had a seaside hol this year) and she calls the device her 'mate' and likes to be in charge of switching it on. The controls are so easy, she can now switch it on, set a timer for 4 hours and choose her noise. She's 2 and a half - that's how simple this device is to use. I'm also planning to use it at work - I'm a therapist so it's going to be great for extra privacy during sessions when the building is noisy. 100% would recommend this product!!

Has just the right amount of features. Works well, seems to send me off to sleep ok. Haven't used all the sounds, some don't seem to be as relaxing as others.

In the summer, when AC and fans are running, I hear very little noise and this makes sleeping easier. However, in the cooler months, I would find external noises from the street and from the building would often keep me awake, or awaken me in the middle of the night, even from a sound sleep. I purchased this white noise generator with the intention of solving that problem and it has done so totally. The simulated fan noise is perfect for masking sounds and allowing me to get a great night sleep! I use the fan noise options, so it works perfectly for me. If you're looking for the sound of waves or rain, the simulation isn't as good as one where those noises have been recorded. But if you want a variety of "fan" type noises, this is perfect. The volume can be readily controlled and there are a variety of different fan noise profiles to choose. Easy to use and quite compact. Highly recommended!

Its a good product. Does what it says. Thought the sounds are not so different from each other, except one or two. Most of them sound almost the same. However, it does what it says. Could be priced lower, otherwise all good.
