Street Fighter Sakura Ganbaru! Vol. 2 [Nakahira, Masahiko, Nakahira, Masahiko] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Street Fighter Sakura Ganbaru! Vol. 2 Review: Funny and action-packed! - This is a very good manga! Probably one of the best I've read in months! The story is easy to follow and there is no moment of "Wait, I need to flip back to that page again..." The story starts with Sakura and Dan going to Hong Kong to find Ryu. There, they meet an important underground syndicate leader. The leader kidnaps Sakura into a prostitution ring. But don't worry! Chun-Li (YAY!) comes in to save our beloved, skirt-wearing heroine! Chun-Li joins the party and soon, they are attacked by Gen, a Chinese assassin. Cammy then enters the fray and the gang heads to Russia! There, they meet Zangief. This is as far as I am going to go, because I don't want to spoil anything! I highly recomend the the "Sakura" series! It does great justice to her character! Yatta! Review: Street fighter - When I was a child I love play everyday "street fighter" on my old SNES. I played also in arcades the "street fighter alpha" series. I'm fan of this series, Sakura is one of my favorites characters to play, I read the first volume and I started recently to read the second volume, the history is good. I recomend this manga for the fans of Sakura or the street fighter series.

A nice conclusion, SF fan friendly
This is a followup from my review of part one: "This book in its original publishing in Japan many years ago after Streetfighter Zero(Alpha) 2 was the origin of the character Karin Kanzuki who went on to appear in Streetfighter Zero 3. I start with this tidbit to give an indication of how popular and well received this particular illustrated story was in Japan. Now Udon, the art studio most (in)famous for its support of all things Streetfighter in the west, has licensed this book for English consumption." --- For the SF fans, the artwork continues the nice dynamic action poses, faithful to the moves you get to see in the video games. The body figures are typical of the shounen genre and show just a bit of evolution from the previous volume. 5 additional characters make their appearance. The story picks up with Sakura moving her street fighting experience from Japan to the world stage, with Dan as her traveling companion. While his fighting talents continue to be comically lacking, Dan resumes his role of serving up valuable mentoring life experience to not only Sakura whos innocence serves as a contrast, but also others characters in the book as well. (Almost Quixotic.) After arriving in China, Her first challenge while investigating Ryu's whereabouts isn't directly a streetfight, but a run-in with a crime organization backing an underground fight arena. This lands her in a human trafficking prison, and Dan served up for a beat down in the arena! From there, other characters begin showing up as Sakura looks for clues to finding her idol Ryu, each obstacle challenging her to grow as a person inside as well as a fighter. The author continues to mix his action sequences with the more romantic warrior spirit that martial artists share in their pursuit of the art. Each character that appears is well treated, except maybe boxer Balrog, and is not just a cameo, but a specific emotional counterpoint to Sakura's journey. Overall its actually got alot of themes about maturity, especially right before the climax of Sakura's meeting with Ryu. ((SPOILER: my favourite in that is actually Karin's role, as she is revealed as having watched Sakura the entire trip, only to watch her develop as a person.)) Good enough to stand on its own, required reading for real Street Fighter fans!
