Sony CR2032 3V Lithium 2032 Coin Battery, 5 Pack

My strategy is similar to most everyone elses': to find the balance between cost and value in buying anything...mindful of a good return policy. These batteries fit those criteria when I bought them, (but DO check out the Maxell 3V batteries as well). The Sony 2032's work fine and they're a good value. There is a space for a "use-by date" on these batteries but no date (I don't know as Maxell even has a space for the date). But, like just about every battery you have bought or will buy, there are no guarantees. I've unknowingly purchased dead batteries just like everyone else. But, most batteries are reliable, even though battery life-span can vary wildly. And, there's the issue: without digging too far into cyberspace, how do you know the life-span of the battery before you buy it? You really don't unless there's evidence of leakage or deformity. Sometimes the 'use by' dates in the retail world mean something. For me, most often they mean a cheaper price for 'out-of-date' stuff. I've never trusted those dates anyway.

I bought this set of battery to replace the ones found on my 3D glasses and a small pedometer. So far, I can't really complain. They have been working as expected. The battery indicator for both the glasses and the pedometer show that the battery was full when i put them in. I have barely used the 3D glasses but the have used the pedometer every single day for a month. The battery if not even half full. Consider this set of 5 batteries costed me less that $3 dollars with free shipping I consider it an excellent value for low power equipment. When i went to Walgreens to find a similar battery the price was $6 dollars for ONE Energizer battery. Now, i am sure that one was better but i could buy 10 of these generic brand for the price of one of those. It seems like a pretty good deal. I recommend it.

This pack of 5 is actually cheaper than what I've seen these batteries for when sold singly in stores. They are perfectly fine, reading 3.29 volts. However, there is no "Use by:" date printed on the packaging. On the same day I also ordered some of the same batteries (but Maxell branded) from another supplier and they read 3.31 volts, and from what I can tell from the date codes they are 2 years fresher. I guess "freshly packed" is more of an opinion than a fact. Note that since the same product rotates in lowest price between several vendors your experience may vary.

I bought these batteries to replace the dead battery in the key fob to my 2005 Pontiac Sunfire. This is compatible with the key fob for any Pontiac Sunfire between the years 2000 and 2005, and also compatible with many other Pontiac/GM vehicle key fobs as well. The batteries came with an expiration date of 2028, so I'm not worried about them going bad before I can use them. I bet if they're stored in a fridge they could last even longer. If you're not sure whether this battery will work for your car's key fob, I recommend you google your car's make, model, and year with the words "key fob battery" (e.g. pontiac sunfire 2005 key fob battery), which will should return plenty of results telling you the correct battery to use. I've had one of these batteries in my key fob since February (about 6 months ago) and it's still got as good of a range as the first day I put it in. When my car's sitting in the parking lot, I can lock/unlock it from my second story window about 40-50 feet away. This is great if I need to carry a bunch of groceries upstairs and don't want to have to fumble around with my keys while holding a ton of bags. I can just carry everything upstairs then lock my car from inside once I've set the grocery bags down. This five pack is about the same price as getting a single one of these batteries at the local battery/accessory store in my town, so it's definitely worth the wait. I have Prime, so these came in just two days to my doorstep. I can't comment on the shipping time if you order without Prime, though.

Bought this because of the good price and the photos (customer or seller, unknown) of the product shows a date code of 2022. Received and had to use a battery immediately. It appears to be working, although I haven't checked the voltages of them new. The packaging does not list the use-by date, so I have no idea how long these will really last. Nobody should be selling batteries without this date. For all I know, it could be overstock from the 1900s.
