Ac'cent All Natural Flavor Enhancer, 4.5 Ounce

I don't understand why MSG became such a target of disapproval in the 1980s. Neither I nor my husband has any problems from its use. It adds such good flavor to our vegetable dishes.

I used to avoid MSG (like many of us) until I recently looked at the research that debunks much of the scientifically-unfounded paranoia about it. Like salt, it is a flavor enhancer. Unlike salt, it has a significantly less sodium, so it can be useful to use instead of salt in some things. It's pure umami. I have found its great in soups and sauces and salad dressings. I am happy with the size of the bottle for the cost, and think it's priced fairly. This stuff works! Just be smart and don't overdo it--as with anything.

Let me tell you something. This Ac’cent MSG is absolutely FANTASTIC. Incredible flavor. Huge power. When I bought it I said, This is from Asia. It has to be. It is MSG. That is where MSG comes from. Everyone knows that. Very simple. Then I look at the bottle and it says MADE IN THE USA. Totally shocking. I said, How did America do this. How did we get the Asian seasoning. Very impressive. Maybe the greatest achievement of all time. And it tastes AMAZING. You put it on St. Louis style fried rice and suddenly it is restaurant quality. Very international. Very exotic. But also very American. A beautiful blend. A perfect union. Some people say it should be in the Constitution. And I remember they used to have a lady in the commercials. A very nice lady. Very friendly. Very memorable. Some people said it was not the best idea. Maybe a little questionable. Maybe a little old fashioned. I do not get involved. Not my business. All I know is the product is incredible. This MSG makes everything taste better. Literally everything. It is like cheating. Legal cheating. The best kind. You sprinkle a little and boom, flavor explosion. You sprinkle more and suddenly you are the top chef in the world. People come up and say, Sir, the food is tremendous. The best food. And they are right. Five stars. Would buy again. The greatest American Asian seasoning ever created.
