Buy it. Buy it now. You wont be disappointed
I bought this for a 16' x 48" round Intex ultra frame pool. The cover is great and works wonderfully at heating up the pool water. It is big enough to cover the top of the water with no extra over hang. There is a slight gap around the edges but only about an inch all the way around. Not a big deal at all. It has heated up my pool to feel like a warm bath more than a cold pool. I've found if I turn my pump off only the top 3-4 inches are real warm and the bottom of the pool is cold HOWEVER leaving the pump on circulates the water and the entire pool is kept warm! It only took 2 days to get really warm like this in 70℉ weather. I found myself warmer in the pool than out of it on a nice 70℉ breezy day lol. I also live in an area of NW Oregon that is very windy most of the time and I can say this cover hasn't blown off once. Not even close. It just stays floating on the top of the pool. The added bonus is it also helps keep bugs and debris out of the pool. I am fortunate to have been able to set up my pool where trees aren't around or close over it but there is a large field with LOTS of dandelions blowing their "wishes" all over the place when it's windy. This cover has helped tremendously in keeping them out of the water. I spent a lot of time looking into these types of pool covers and what color worked best and after a lot of reading I figured clear would be best for me. I can not comment on if it works better than black, grey or blue but my common sense says clear will magnify the heat/light in a similar way as glass would with the sun and thus create more heat and retain more heat. I also had the forethought to order this while getting the pool ready for set up so when it came I was in the process of filling the pool with water and was able to put it on when I was done. I ran the filter continuously for 48 hours then put it on a timed mode per manufacturer's recommendations and when the pump went to timed mode that's when I got only the top few inches to heat versus the whole pool being heated with the pump on continuously. Once I put the pump to run 24 hrs and left it I didn't have the cold bottom anymore so I recommend a pump on continuously for whole pool heat with this cover. I also would like to mention that I have 3 children, 9,6,3, who have each tries to pop the bubbles on this cover without success, and promptly given timeouts because of it lol. It is thick. This is NOT your standard bubble wrap. This stuff is thick and strong. Strong enough to withstand three naughty children trying their hardest to pop the bubbles without being able to strong. I've had this product for two months now on my saltwater pool and there is no sign of failure yet. My husband was skeptical and a bit irritated at first I bought it and thought I was wasting our money, but after experiencing the difference it makes he praises me on the purchase. I highly recommend getting this cover for your pool and can say you won't regret it with confidence. When the day comes I need to replace this cover, it is plastic after all and nothing lasts forever!, I will be buying it again and have already set this item to my wishlist so I can find it easily when that day comes. Yes, I am that happy with it. I know this has saved me a ton of money already versus buying an electric heater for my pool and the cost of electricity to run it as my husband wanted to do 😜. Buy this and be happy jumping into your warm pool and have fun

Durable
This solar cover really works! It’s more like 19ft for and 18ft round pool which worked well for me for 2 reasons. 1 being as big as it is it went up the sides of my pool protecting it from flying debris as I was mowing my lawn and 2 it brought my pool temp up over night 6 degrees. My pool went from 81 degrees at the time I put it on at 5pm to 87 degrees by 9 am! Perfect swimming temp! The difficult part was getting it to separate to get it to roll out across the pool. It was easy to remove! Easy to use! This is my 1st season using it so I don’t know about the longevity of it but feel like if you take care of it it will last!

It does help keep your pool warmer. Lasted 2 years for me.
Works great for keeping leaves, bugs, etc out of my pool, and for retaining the water temperature overnight when it would cool off some otherwise. When we had a couple days of super hot weather (temps over 100) here I actually had to leave this off of the pool because it was getting too hot, it felt like a hot tub! It's not going to work any miracles and heat your pool to the right temperature on its own, but it does definitely make a difference. I have an 18' round pool, and I ended up trimming almost a foot of material off in order to make it fit properly. That wasn't really a big deal to me I guess though, it only took a few minutes with a scissors. Here's a tip... don't just pull this cover off the pool and leave it laying flat on your grass. If you do that for a couple hours, the grass under the cover will be baked by the amplified sun's heat and your grass will be dead. I had a big brown circle of dead grass in my yard for a while. It works better to fold/roll the cover up after you remove it. Here's an update after 2 years. The cover has failed at the seams and is now in multiple pieces. I could have maybe got another year out of it if I was more careful. I'm going to replace it with a cheaper version. I think I'm also going to get a big pipe to roll it up with when removing it.

Lasted 4 Seasons. That pretty good. Read review....
we used this 12 mill clear solar a full 4 seasons in Ohio. 4 months per year( and i think i forgot and left it out on the real most of the winter after one season. 4 years is amazing for a solar cover, so.... I'm buying another one from these guys. The biggest thing, I think that saves them, is covering them with a long narrow tarp when the cover is on the reel to protect it from the sun. Ours would've lasted longer if I did that all of the time. Thin Plastic white tarps are pretty cheap. Just a hassle to cover and uncover the reel every time.

Heavy duty solar cover
This is a nice heavy duty solar cover. We used it this summer and so far it has he’s up nicely. It also helped warm my pool up pretty fast When itvgot really hot outside , had to remove part of it so some heat could escape

Seams come apart
The cover itself is very sturdy material. It floats nicely on top of the water. The bad part is that it started coming apart at the seam quickly. It's almost as if whatever they use to glue the seams together isn't very waterproof. Within the first two weeks I could see the seams starting to split in the middle and by then I had thrown away the box that it came in. I made the best of it and was very gentle putting it on and off the pool. I live alone and I'm the only one that uses the pool/ cover. Regardless it ended up coming apart completely at the seam. It didn't work out real well. The cover itself is pretty heavy duty. I was concerned more about the thickness and wasn't thinking about the seams. I'm not sure why they didn't bother to use a better waterproof glue when they assembled this. Didn't even keep the pool warm. Didn't keep the leaves out. It was a lot of money to spend and if I would have kids in the home I would have assumed that they were too rough and damaged it. This is a product that should have been made better. I'm pretty certain that anyone that's bought one and used it three times could tell you that the seams are coming apart. Starts in the middle. And it's so big and heavy it would be very tough to return and they know it.

I have a very nice 18' above ground pool with a large filter, a heat pump heater and an excellent salt water generator (Zandy Aqua Pure). I usually end up with solar covers that last about 2 years before destructing in some way. I bought this cover and have to say it is the most effective cover I have ever owned. It retains water temp better over night to a noticeable degree and also helps heat the pool on sunny days. It is the thickest I have ever bought. This makes it heavier and so is more difficult to roll up but it is well worth any extra effort. Buy it. I will update this at the end of the season.

very nice one. fits my 28 ft pool and definitely warms up the water couple of degrees above outdoor temp. my only compliant is taking it off and putting it on is a pain in A.. you should provide some sort of pool rollers also with additional price tag on it.

I cant believe the difference this makes in heating up our pool and keep it so. Keeps evaporation low and chlorine levels static.

Great product. Very tough plastic. This is not the cheapy WalMart special, where the bubbles fall apart after a few years. However, at over 15 feet in diameter (it nicely fills my 16 foot Intex pool), it is a handful to get in and out of the pool! You will need to develop a 'strategy' to defeat the giant, wet pancake on the way out (i.e. kind of fold it a bit) so that you can easily put it back in again and get it unfolded and fully covered. I like that it is clear, which should let more visible and IR penetrate and heat the water, instead of heating and degrading the plastic. I was worried that it would be too small for my 16' Intex Ultraframe, but it fits perfectly with no trimming.
