I have believed in life after death most all my life. Reading the story from his parents view really verified Tod's story, and gave me a whole new view of what happens after death. I found it very encouraging and comforting. It gives hope.

Great book that tells the truth about this family’s faith walk and how their son saw heaven and met Jesus and then was sent back to earth to share the love of God!

Straightforward, honest, genuine, both Sonja and Todd reveal more of what it's like to deal with such an unusual situation as a child's report of heaven, and also the struggles inherent in being in the ministry with the expectations of others adding to the pressure of living authentically in Christ. I wondered how so much celebrity would affect them all, and was impressed at how wisely they work at keeping their family balanced and their own roles in perspective. I was surprised by the format--quotes from the first book followed by comments--but part of the problem is I am blind, so I was listening rather than looking at type, and any clues by format were not translated into changes in speech. The quotes give context for the observations and elucidations that follow. I found the book insightful, and I certainly appreciate children and my pastor and his wife much more than I did before. If you want lots about heaven, you could be disappointed. If you want much more about living in the context of heaven and keeping spiritual balance through whatever overwhelming things might come, this is a realistic and helpful sharing of how the Burpos are doing it. I think they're doing it the best way possible--holding tightly to Jesus' hand.

A worthy sequel to HEAVEN IS FOR REAL. That previous volume is the account of a Godly young couple whose 4-year-old son was granted a visit to Heaven - featuring an extended meeting with Our Redeemer Jesus ! :) HEAVEN CHANGES EVERYTHING takes up the continuing experiences of this fine Midwestern family. HEAVEN CHANGES EVERYTHING continues the life experiences (including a younger brother born to Colton - the young lad who has experienced Heaven. This new book features brief articles by the parents (Todd and Sonia) - wherein they talk of their daily experiences of life. And how their (now) middle child's Heaven experience has changed their lives. Among other things - their faith in the powerful, true (but invisible) God has given everyone more courage in facing the future. The four-year-old who said Jesus was 'nice' (!) in the prior book - he now is a tall, strong football player in his high school.. Plus - he wrestles ! ( The letters of Saint Paul compare life's spiritual struggles to wrestling.) My conclusion is - GET this book ! It will bring the refreshing waters of the Spirit to your life. And for those who are not yet followers of Jesus Christ, I recommend ordering FOR REAL and CHANGES EVERYTHING as a set. Enjoy your trip !

I love this book more than the original because it gives more detail into how the events occurred. These are wonderful testimonials of faith and believing in our wonderful God. An event in their lives such as this just bolsters your faith and makes you see how much truth there is in the great "God works in mysterious ways." If you sit back and really pay attention, you can see his handiwork and love EVERYDAY of our lives. This brings me such peace and comfort and these books and movie just reinforced my belief. I can imagine how much this will help to bring others that may have been on the fence to understand our Gods' love and care for us. I can't imagine how hard it was for their family to make the decision to go public with this to bring more people to God. They opened up their whole life to the world and that cannot be an easy thing to do

This a great continuation of a truly awesome story. This book and the first one will stand the test of time. My grandchildren and great grandchildren can be able to read these books years from now and be able to relate and say “Oh WOW!”

I have read all three books and as I began reading this book, I wondered if so much of it would be a repeat that it would not measure up to the first book. It was not. It answered questions I had following the first book and the movie. It brought me to times when I paused and allowed the world to stop while I listened intently to the words. It is bookmarked and will be a reference I return to as I walk this path with God. Thank you Burpo family for sharing your faith and story. God indeed does use ordinary people to do extraordinary things and this simple book with the committed messages of faith is n example. My Grandson loves Colten's book and when he visits each summer, we read it together almost every night. There is God magic in that book.

Good topic. I found I had to work through it in small doses, chewing very hard in between. I found the subject evocative, even though I consider myself mature in this topic.If the reader is serious about the things of the Kingdom, this work is for you.

Read this to be amazed and inspired by the mysteries of God. A little boy of that age can't know the things he knew, even with a Pastir for a Dad.

A further glimpse into what Heaven might be like. Nice, short, interesting chapters that keep you turning the pages.

At the time of writing I am still reading this, although 75% through it. Delightful, and inspirational. You get a feeling that this is a wonderful family, and a very special family too, having been granted such an insight into Heaven. Grateful that they have shared this experience, and has reinforced my own faith that we will all pass to something "better", and we have to do the hard yards first. No-one in this world gets through without some scratches, but the rewards are well worth it. Thank you Burpo family for sharing, and God bless you all.
