Easy upgrade,Well worth it.
Wow, I upgraded to the Audio Technica AT-VM95ML a few months ago but waited till the 50 hours runing in time befroe I gave my review and it's been a game-changer for my vinyl setup. Installing it was incredibly straightforward—even if you're not super handy, you'll have no trouble getting it fitted and ready to go. From the moment I started playing my favorite records, the difference was immediately noticeable. The sibilance that used to bother me on certain tracks? Completely gone. Vocals are now smooth and natural, without that harsh "s" sound that can be so distracting. The overall sound is wonderfully rounded and crystal clear. It's like layers of music I hadn't heard before suddenly came to life. The clarity and detail are just stunning. Instruments feel more distinct, and there's a warmth that makes listening so much more enjoyable. It truly breathes new life into your vinyl collection. I found myself revisiting old albums just to experience them through this cartridge. If you're considering an upgrade, I can't recommend the AT-VM95ML enough. It makes a huge difference and elevates your entire listening experience. Trust me, once you hear it, you'll wonder how you ever listened without it.

It's expensive, but you get what you pay for.
I bought this because I was disappointed with the quality of the recordings I was getting with my Ortofon DJ needles. The recordings always sounded dull and got duller towards the centre of the record. After doing some research I ended up with this and it is everything I hoped it would be. Recordings sound bright and clear and full of life, and there is no drop in quality towards the centre of the record. I hope to get many years of use from it.

THE END OF DISTORTION!
Ive spent 10 years buying records now. It started with Bowie's Ziggy Stardust. After 5 years i had about 300. Now i have 2500. Only about a year ago did i finally get a turntable of my very own to enjoy them and that turntable was a Project Debut Pro that comes pre fitted with a modded Ortofon 2M Red. It was a bad first year. None of my records sounded as good as my best digital versions. Not even one. I thought my vinyl years of yore wouldnt be recaptured and was plotting to sell all 2500 off and go back to trusty digital. I started by selling my Project deck. I dusted off my dads olde Pioneer dd and thought about ebaying it but seeing as it had an sme headshell and the specs of the AT95ML/H were of near identical weight to the Pioneer headshell with its old Shure cart i figured one last crack at this game could be worthwhile seeing as a microline tipped cart in a good headshell could ve had for just £150. Well it was love at first listen! The fuzzy, grainy, hash ridden, timbrally brittle, romanceless sound of the TERRIBLE 2M Red cart was solely to blame. I cannot overstate just how superior the AT cart is. Distortion was so high with the 2M you could practically cut it with a knife. The AT rids playback of any distortion. Its just so clean and consistent. The surface noise which was annoying me has far lessened. It even seems to traverse the non fills and stitchea better. And all this is before ive even run the cart in and from aligning by eye. There is simply no comparison... one sounds nasty the other sounds superb. I hope it improves further still. I realise its not going to maybe have the fleshy, rich sound of the olde Shure cart, but sometimes that cart's warmth could become cloying and it also had igd issues again with some breakup and general distortion. That is now gone. All that is left with an honest portrayal of my albums. This 95ML/H has to be considered ridiculously good value for the performance on offer. I genuinely dont think im going to ever want more.

Good upgrade over green
Very nice sounding stylus. Sounds way better than the standard green one and has WAY less noise due to the stylus shape. Also has a lifetime over three times over the green one.

As a fan of the Ortofon Blue, I was reading great reviews on the AT-VM95ML and since record buying and getting the best sound for your money are obsessions of mine, I took the plunge. I'm happy to report I'm pleased with the AT-VM95ML. It is more detailed than the Ortofon Blue and the stereo separation seem slightly better, it's not quite as bright sounding or does it track as accurately as the Ortofon. But after a few hours of listening, the Ortofon is currently on the bench as I have levitated more towards the AT-VM95ML. Don't get me wrong, both are great carts. If you like your music to sound bright and more modern, the Ortofon is my choice, but if you prefer a more detailed and dare I say slightly more audiophile experience, then the AT-VM95ML is a great bargain. I have it connected to a Cambridge Audio Pre-amp that's connected to a Yamaha 602 receiver and it sings.

The Audio-Technica AT-VM95ML/H Turntable Headshell/Cartridge Combo Kit has completely elevated my vinyl listening experience! From the moment I installed it, I was blown away by the clarity and detail it brought out in my records. The microlinear stylus is the star of the show here. It tracks beautifully, picking up every nuance in the music while minimizing distortion and inner groove wear. My older records, which I thought had worn out, now sound almost brand new! The improved channel separation and tight bass response have made listening a joy. The pre-mounted design on the headshell is a huge time-saver. Installation was straightforward, and alignment was perfect right out of the box. It’s compatible with a variety of tonearms, making it a versatile option for any turntable setup. The build quality is fantastic, and the red finish adds a sleek, modern touch to my turntable. For the performance and quality, this kit is an excellent value and a worthy upgrade for any vinyl enthusiast. If you’re serious about getting the best out of your records, the AT-VM95ML/H combo kit is a must-have. Highly recommend it!

Pozdrawiam Tom239
