RoMech Replacement Parts for ROMECH Electric Hot Knife (6")

Blade worked great, even accidentally left unit out while it rained, no problems or rust. Used to cut 1.5" foam board insulation from Lowes for insulating garage door. Used with ROMECH Foam Cutter Pro Electric Hot Knife, 200W Air Cooled Styrofoam Cutting Tool Kit- with Heavy-duty Case Blades & Accessories RM-009 (200W Air Cooled) Recommend using good ventilation depending on what you cut. I made a jig using an old scrap of MDF with factory straight edge, a 2x4 for spacer, and a drywall square. Screwed the 2x4 to MDF aligned on straight edge of MDF. Clamped on drywall square and now i get perfect vertical cuts and 90 degree edges. I was going to buy a second blade incase i ever wanted a fresh one, but blade works very well and after cutting all the foam for the garage door, its still in great condition (Just a little sticky). Can be heated and cleaned with solvent. Would recommend buying again. Wish it came included with the Electric Knife kit.

Blade worked great. Was very sturdy and sharp. I used it to cut a piece of heavy plastic and it performed perfectly. I would highly recommend this product.

product works as indicated in description. was able to cut quickly through 3" thick styrofoam easily once blade was heated sufficiently. unit provides various levels of heat although i can't see reason for the lower levels. best reason to get these units is to minimize loose particles flying around when cutting styrofoam to minimize environmental impact which was primary reason for buying this.

This worked well in the hot knife to carve craft pumpkins. Doesn't get nearly as hot as the longer blades, which is too hot. Wished this one was a little hotter. Still easier than a regular hot knife with x-acto type blade.
