Little Mommy Talk with Me Repeating Doll

When I saw this doll on the website, I was intrigued. As a doll collector, I try to keep up with current doll trends. However, I had not seen this little gem at any of my local stores (Indiana). I am a big fan of the old Mattel talking dolls, such as Chatty Cathy or the storybook series. This doll has the same sweet face and is dressed appropriately for a toddler doll. She comes with pre-recorded phrases to say for your child, or you may say something to her, and she repeats it in her little dolly voice. I recorded a message from the doll to my dog: "Maggie is a good dog," and my dog was interested to hear that voice coming from a toy. Talk With Me goes one step further than a mere recorded voice doll by adding your own touches. For example, you might record, "Happy birthday, Piper," and let the child hear that when she opens the doll. I thought it might be fun to read a simple child's book and have her record it as phrases. That way, the doll could read along with your child. (I am not certain how randomly your recorded phrases are played with her pre-recorded statements.) Wouldn't that be fun? And it might increase your child's pleasure at reading to 'someone' (the doll.) Haven't had her long enough to comment on battery life. She was in a box with other items I had ordered, such as books and DVDs, and she arrived in perfect condition. Well worth the price, and different! Also, I believe it would be easy to get other clothing for her. Even if her clothing is non-removable (as someone suggested), you could still put a long dress or a coat over her current outfit. Very sweet doll!

This doll is the cutest doll ever! My grand children love her, not to mention all of us too! I purchased it for my 2 year old granddaughter. I love how she repeats what you say in her most adorable voice. At first I was disappointed that she did not retain what she says for future use however, it really is a good thing that she does not remember it because of the crazy things older kids might have her say. I love that she is a flexible doll and not hard and stiff. I wish they made her so that her clothes could be removed and changed since my granddaughter loves to diaper her baby and dress her. I also wish she had better hair just so it is easier to keep looking nice. But she truly is a very good buy and I would definitely recommend purchasing this doll to others! She's a lot of fun and very cute!! Thank you!

My daughter LOVES this doll! Her little voice is so cute and the kids all laugh hearing her repeat back whatever they say. The only thing I wish you could change would be to have her keep repeating the last thing that was recorded over and over again until something new is recorded. The way it is now you record something, she repeats it once, and then there's no way to make her say it again. Not a big deal, but when it's something really funny it would be nice to have her repeat if you could. (Obviously you could say whatever it was again, but that doesn't necessarily work with a 1 year old, for example).I highly recommend this doll, though! It's adorable!

Nice and beautiful

This doll is a great one for preschool children. They program the words and phrases for her to say. Little girls like to play tea party and talk to their 'babies'. My granddaughter loves her dolls and always has tea parties and talks to them. She even has names for most of them. A child uses her imagination and plays house and puts them to bed and always says goodnight to them. I gave this a high rating because I feel it is more than a doll--it's a childs friend and family. Would recommend it for all little girls that like to be just like mommy.

I bought this for my 3 year old daughter for Christmas. She has many dolls but this one is by far her favorite. She likes how it repeats back to her whatever she says. The hair on this doll is very nice, many of my daughters dolls get tangled hair within a week after playing with them, this dolls hair is still nice. I was a little dissappointed on the packaging it came in, clear plastic very flimsy, because it made it difficult to wrap, but that isn't what the kids play with so it doesn't really matter. :)

My niece in the Philippines wanted a Baby Alive doll, but after reading the reviews, about how you have to buy special (and expensive) food and diapers, plus all the mess to clean up when it poops and pees, and the cost, I thought "No Way!" Then I found this doll and ordered one. My niece loves it, and the best part is, she can talk in Tagalog, Visaya, and any other language because she just repeats what you say. A winner!

My 3 year old asked for a talking doll from Santa and this is what he brought her. It is a cute doll; however, it doesn't actually store any phrases. Rather, she immediately repeats what you say, but will not play it back later.She is softer than I thought she would be which is pleasing if your little one wants to sleep with her.The accessories (sippy cup and puppet) that she comes with are cheaply made and don’t fit on her hand or in her mouth.What is the most disappointing (especially considering the price of the doll) is her hair - it looks like she had it cut by a toddler! In fact, my sister asked me if my daughter tried to give the doll a haircut! The front is fine, but the back is a multitude of hacked off chopped up layers, which really allows you to see the doll's scalp. It also makes it impossible to fix the doll's hair in a braid, ponytail, etc.Overall, it is okay, but not great for the price.
