Works well, hole is a little larger than expected
I bought these to mount an LEDwholesalers 10W outdoor flood light outside of my house. The light comes with an attached cable (with bare ends) that needs to be wired into an electrical box. I wanted the cable gland to provide a clean seal for the wire, and the white matched the electrical cover nicely. The cable is about 7mm in diameter, so I originally bought the Amico PG10, which lists a cable range of 5mm-10mm. Well, the Amico glands would appear to run large, as the PG10 size was too large to get a good seal on my 7mm power cable. Technically it was possible, but required the gland to be tightened down all the way, which made the rubber seal and flanges protrude out of the nut.The PG9 size is better for 7mm, and can get a nice fit around the 7mm cable without being screwed all the way down. The specs for the PG9 say that it can be used for a 4mm cable--I would not recommend it for 4mm. I think 6mm is on the low end, and 5mm would be the absolute smallest I would be comfortable with.I drilled a hole in my electrical light cover plate, attached the gland, and screwed it on, and it works great. After installing the gland, I put a little bit of silicone caulk around the gland on the outside and inside of the cover plate, just to seal out any moisture. You could probably find a gasket, but silicone worked fine for my purposes.

Good For the Money, But Needs Gaskets
These perform well but not weather proof until I added gaskets to the base. Overall a good product and seller was truthful. I just didn't pay attention to the add.

I agree that they should have come with sealing washers. Now I have to buy a bag of those. Other brands come with them.

These are great for wiring LED floodlights with bare wire leads (or plugs) to normal outdoor electrical boxes with blank sides. Drill hole, install gland, insert wire, clamp down gland. Weatherproof installation with no trouble.
