Ultimate Support JS-TS50-2 Pair of Tripod Speaker Stands

These are great starter stands for the beginning DJ. I have used and abused these, and its starting to show. The locking mechanisms are the first to go. I have since moved on to the Support TS80B, super high quality stands. so save your $$$ and get these if you can wait.

For Ultimate Support, these are at the “more affordable” end of the spectrum. They are super light, but still capable of holding moderately heavy speakers. I use them to hold my EV ELX 15s, that weigh around 40 pounds per cabinet. It’s nice to have a spare set on hand for those smaller shows when I’m not using my full PA. The included carrying case is a nice bonus.

This is a great bargain. Nice product for light weight speakers. I just did not feel comfortable with my 50 lb speaker after examination. Hard to judge rigidity by photos.

Good quality stands. They are not as sturdy as the TS90 or the TS99 so I don't use them with my mains (15"). I use them with my satellites which are much smaller 50W speakers that I spread out to the back of the room so that announcements can be heard and understood. Thanks for making an affordable lightweight product Ultimate!

These stands are great for lightweight speakers such as a fender passport.I would not use these for powered speakers in the fully extended position.If you have powered speakers - spend the money and get ultimate's heavy duty versionYeah the heavy duty ones cost more, The added cost is worth it.

Nice set of stands. The bag is a little weak, but if you are going to keep these up permanently, your are good. If not, I would definitely look into the Gator Speaker stand bag - http://www.amazon.com/Gator-Speaker-Stand-Compartments-GPA-SPKSTDBG-58DLX/dp/B0002V8R5M/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1452003317&sr=8-2&keywords=Gator+Speaker+stand+bag it has two compartments to keep them from banging into each other. Stands work well and have the adapter for the larger speaker posts as well.

I ordered these stands because they were made by Ultimate and in the past they have latest a long time. But by no means are these Ultimate worthy. Several reasons...The bags they arrived in were covered in mold and gross. The bags might last 2 gigs (if your lucky and baby them). I want to protect my gear. Made from supper cheap material all around. Secondly, the stand itself is weak. With just a little weight the supports bow and twist. The threads are worthless and feel like they are on the verge of stripping. Even if you tork all the clamps it slips down with little weight. You have to use the safety pin because the clamp can't hold any weight unless you use cardboard speakers. Overal very disappointed and was seeking for something with much more of a standard.Don't buy these because the bag is simplify more of a inconvenience when it rips.Don't buy these if you want a sturdy speaker stand that will last. They will fall apart.

Although the product description states holds up to 120lbs, it does not do it comfortably. My EV Live 15" (35lbs) swayed way too much to be satisfied with this product. The spread of the stands base just does not provide that stable center of gravity for these speakers - even if I put it at the lowest height adjustment. And the extension pole was way too flimsy for these speakers. I was excited to receive these today but then was disappointed at the same time... sometimes pictures do NOT say enough words... This would probably suffice some 10s and 12s but not 15s. I immediately printed out a Return UPS label to send back. I was looking for a better price point product that will do the job but I think I will find a couple more TS88Bs instead.*Update: decided to keep these stands for some 10"/12" EV Lives that I plan to purchase in the near future.
