Based on the fact that mountain pass Ã…kneset, located in the Geiranger fjord in Norway, will one day collapse and create a violent tsunami of over 80 meters that will crush everything in its path before it hits land in Greenland. Great Movie !
Real and showcased the beauty and danger of the Norwegian fjords. I was there last year and worried about this happening ! Very well done and nice to see a catastrophe that I don't actually need to worry about right now...realistic and stunning drama depicting the force of nature without "Hollywooding" it.

This is actually a really good show
"The Wave" was briefly available for viewing on Netflix (Norwegian language with English subtitles). It was the release of the sequel titled "The Quake" that prompted me to have another look at the Wave. The Bluray provides the option to have the narrative dubbed in English, but I prefer the subtitled format. Kristoffer Joner, the geologist in the wave is also the star in the Quake. The wave describes an credible threat and the cinematography is incredible. A new and refreshing take on the typical big budget disaster flick.
