Best ever. Best texture/feel, best result, and a minuscule amount goes a long way.
I have the sort of skin on my neck that gets easily irritated. I thought for years that I was just the type of guy who couldn’t shave every day and had to shave every other. I’d schedule important events around this premise.I tried dozens of different techniques and products. I had given up.Enter Taylor of Old Bond Street.I opted for the Jermyn Street Collection bc it was the only one that mentioned “for sensitive skin”.The TOBS site recommends using a dollop of the creme the size of an almond. If I used a dollop the size of an almond, I’d be able to shave all of borough Brooklyn’s faces. In all seriousness, the tiniest amount goes a very, very long way.The feel of this crème will put every other shave product you’ll ever try to shame. It’s great. It really froths up in a satisfying way and covers very well. Especially with a brush, but I often simply apply by hand and it’s more than adequate. It leaves an ultra smooth result after shaving. It does wonders for my skin, leaving no irritation, discomfort or problem areas (unless you create one with hasty shaving mechanics, but the product can’t be blamed for that.) I’ll add that this product seems to be more resilient in terms of saving my skin from any sort of razor discomfort, nicks or issues than any other I’ve used.It also seems to do a great job of retaining moisture, even in cold weather. It’s very evident in the areas I’ve shaved that the crème is helping to retain moisture, and it’s noticeable in the way my skin feels in those areas. (After showering/shaving, I use a toner (PCA Skin Nutrient Toner - I’ve loved this for years.) and Anthony Logistics All Purpose Moisturizer in summer. Something a little heavier in winter.)The scent… I like this scent. My wife likes this scent. I think it’s pleasant. I’m sure there’s an element of subjectivity, but I think it’s objectively very nice. It definitely retains the scent and can be noticed later in the day. (Another reason to use a small amount.)Coming from someone who works around hospital operating rooms and sterile environments, I am very “fragrance-averse”. I find it embarrassing when people can smell you any farther away than if they’re giving you a hug. I do not want to leave a scent as I walk past people, and I don’t want people to notice it when I enter a room.I think this leaves as much of a scent as I would want. It’s noticeable early in the day if you’re very close, and it fades as the day goes on.So. TL:DR… it’s the best crème you can buy to shave with, it’s great for sensitive skin, and it smells nice.

Much better than I ever thought!
This is not a shave cream for the everyday plastic razor. On no! This is perfect for my grandfather's straight blade. It lays down a protective barrier that grabs the hair, holds it firmly upright and allows the blade to smoothly cut the hair at the flesh line. My shaving has never been so well controlled. My woman also loves it. She claims it is so much easier to control the blade. The cream lathers easily and thick on the beaver tail brush. It spreads smoothly and covers completely. And, most importantly, it does not cake up as it dries out! It stays moist throughout the entire shave. The Sandalwood sent is not overpowering. You know it's there and for anyone who gets close enough, it can be found throughout most of the morning. Only if you desire someone to "be that close". Shaving now tak a just a bit longer than it used to!This was an excellent purchase. I was hesitant at first. I was really just looking for something that would travel well. Keeping my soap puck in a baggie and making room for the heavy marble bowl I use at home was just not working out at checkin. I admit, it was the container that really caught my eye. I figured I could scoop out whatever came in it and replace it with my soap puck. But, my soap puck was getting harder to find. A change was being forced upon me. So I did my research. Price, availability, reputation, chemical mixes, even size all factored into my decision.I am very happy with my choice. In fact, it turned out much better than I ever thought it would.Try it for yourself. These people truly know shaving!

Better than Sandalwood!
I have been using ToBs Sandalwood since I started DE shaving. Recently I tried to mix it up a little and tried a few different options - on my third new selection I tried this - I am a fan! A little firmer consistency than Sandalwood, great lather and I think less residue / oil so less bumps on my already prone face. Overall a win! My new fav! I like the mild smell too.
