Great item works perfectly!

Granted, the entire product is perfectly fine. But it DID arrive in a box that looked that it was like 5 years old for cripes sake!! CLEARLY a returned product. grr.. That's where this gets the 4. After getting used to the learning curve, this evens out your mix of sounds/instruments, and really brings them out "in front". Was quite cheap for what it is. Be aware, you'll need at least two XLR, or 1/4 cables to connect it. That costs money too..

Clean warm tone, allows for fine tuning the processing. Paired it with the PRO MPA II.

Great for bass when tracking on the way in. I also like it for guitars.

You need to learn how to used properly in order to achieve the results you are looking for in the sound.

I needed a basic compressor / limiter to connect to a Mackie 1404 mixer to handle live sound for a streaming event. Connected using the channel inserts for 1 & 2, spent 15 minutes setting levels and controls, and hours of flawless operations followed. It's not fancy, and that's the beauty of it. I operate this in a "set and forget" mode time and time again, and it always delivers.

I wanted to love this unit, but after three weeks the right channel stopped working. Taking it out of the rack, I then heard some rattling. I opened it up and it seemed to have had a capacitor below. There's one capacitor with his case rattling around inside the unit, the capacitor is still attached to the circuit board but it's just some twisted paper now. I was able to slip the cover back over the affected capacitor, but that certainly didn't help anything. I just think the build quality could be a little better. When it worked it did exactly what it was supposed to, and it's very straightforward and easy to use. And the metering is very good for the price point. Just wish it kept working more than three weeks! At least I can return it, I've had units fail in 60 days and it's much harder to return.
