Reebok was founded for one of the best reasons possible: athletes wanted to run faster. So in the 1890s, Joseph William Foster made some of the first known running shoes with spikes in them. By 1895, he was in business making shoes by hand for top runners; and before long his fledgling company, J.W. Foster and Sons, developed an international clientele of distinguished athletes.

Reebok, better than you might think!
This Reebok shoe might be the best shoe I have ever stepped foot in. Right now I rank it at #1.As reported, it does have a narrow fit, and I almost sent them back at first, but once I heavily loosened the laces and walked around, they broke in.Also as reported, this shoe does seem to be longer than it appears based on size. I wear an 11.5, but I read a review on here about this shoe running a little long, so I ordered a size 11, and my foot fits good in it. An 11.5 would have been too long. What makes this shoe so great are the bubbly spring cushions underneath it. It feels like walking on bubble wrap — best cushion I have ever felt beneath my feet. It makes running, walking, and calf raises easy is pie!Plus, the shoe is pretty, and it fits much better than the heavily cushioned Puma Voltage. Reebok is underrated!

ugly to some but super cushioning for those that need it
I used to buy Reebok DMX air cushioned running shoes over 10 years ago. Back then I noticed that they were the only running shoes whereby , on the next day after running, I couldn't tell that I done a run the day before (3-6.5 miles#. Usually I'd have some sore legs and this was fantastic to not feel the pain. UNFORTUNATELY, Reebok stopped selling them. They are wierd looking and these new DMX sky are even wierder. Don't be fooled, these air cushions really work # still # . I tested my new pair this week. I ran 4 miles on New Balance M940s with sorbothane insoles on monday. I had tingle pains all night and had some trouble sleeping # I am older and was considering cutting my miles # . HOWEVER, on Thursday night I ran about 4.5 miles with these new DMX sky. No pain and a great nights sleep. TO ME, THIS IS PROOF OF CUSHIONING THAT WORKS. I've bought extra pairs since my first pair because I don't trust Reebok to keep making them. For some reason, people don't like them, probably for appearance, but these new ones work even better. Get over the appearance and buy them. They also have something called ATV-19 for off road and DMX 10 which are more like the old ones. The sky are softer than DMX 10 - no leather, but I assume the DMX 10's still work like the old ones and are more normal looking. The sky, while narrow, are soft enough to feel comfortable. I buy New Balance extra wide but these Reeboks work because of the soft material in the fore foot area.

Unmatched Cushioning
I indicated the fit above as "somewhat small" because I unfortunately have WIDE feet, and, even more unfortunately, Reebok chooses to pretend that this huge sector of the footwear market does not exist. I suppose they're either too cheap to spend a few thousand dollars on additional tooling, or they're too stupid to understand the potential revenue they consciously turn away. Apparently from my investigation into this bewildering matter, Reebok's official answer to this dilemma is: "just buy a half size larger". That "answer" is flawed on so many levels, I can not even bring myself to begin to try to educate a management structure that should already understand the core biomechanical and safety rationale for a properly-fitted running shoe. Morons. That said, and because I had used the original version of this shoe back in the nineties and loved it then, I went ahead and did the experiment with a "half size larger" shoe. For what I am using the shoe currently (vigorous walking), this is acceptable, but because my feet are wide, this is not enough to completely solve the problem. The shoe is longer than it needs to be, so there is some "play" front-to-back, even though I tie the laces as tight as possible. The uppers are soft and have give, which permits accommodation of a wider foot, but I do, on occasion, experience a mild sensation of pain around the "ball" region of my left foot. I've only been using these for a relatively short time, so I will update after I spend more time in them - stay tuned.Aside from my wide feet, if you are fortunate enough to have a standard width foot, you will absolutely not be disappointed with these shoes. The ride one enjoys while in these babies is phenomenal, and if you are experiencing back and/or knee pain during your run, these should disappear. BTW, a vast improvement over the original "prototype" design from the late nineties, in terms of quality, arrangement and strength of the air cells on the sole. Now, if Reebok could only understand that the correct way to fit a wide foot is to manufacture a shoe that properly accommodates a wide foot, I would never think to buy another shoe for as long as I shall live.

Poor quality
For something coming from Reebok I was highly disappointed. I was looking for something to replace my old worn-out ATVs that Reebok seems to have dropped, at least in the style I liked. I liked the color on these (Boise State Broncos supportive) but when they arrived the small circular pattern seemed to be peeling away and flaking off. I expected a LOT better from Reebok.

I love the shoe
I love the shoe, as it is crazy looking and comfortable. The balls on the tread take a minute to get used to, but it feels like you are rolling into your step and it really feels natural. The shoe fits tight, and I am not sure stepping up a size would help because it feels like a glove on your foot.Seems like they are very durable shoes, and should be great and natural for running.1 year update: They look about the same really, on the tread the balls are starting to flatten out completely, and 1 of the insoles has a hole in the side. I have 23 pairs of shoes 1 rotate, but these are my standard shoe I wear at least 3 days a week to work. They are the only shoe I can wear if I am on my feet all day and my feet not hurt afterwards. Especially on concrete. They breathe extremely well. I only remembered to write a 1 year update because I am thinking of buying another pair before they are gone.
