It has the raised areas for the mountains, it also has the most perfect amount of spin. It stays where you want, and ofc most importantly, it has the Gulf of Mexico.

This globe is beautiful, I will spend days studying it closely. I love the topographical raised mountain ranges. I love the time zone dial, and the 23.5° tilt, and the realistic size of Greenland, and the label Gulf of MEXICO. It was carefully packed and arrived in pristine condition. Now leave me be, I'm studying geography.

Nice texture and good product

The workmanship was slapdash in some places. I sent the globe back because I did not want to put this particular one in an art piece I am contemplating. I also sent a note with pictures to the manufacturer to show my displeasure. We'll see what comes of this. They claim that they have high quality craftsmanship, but the object I received did not support this claim.Update. I was in contact with a representative from Herff Jones who own Replogle. Through special effort I was able to purchase a globe that did not have the flaws that I complained about. I have intentions of buying more globes in the future and I will continue to be picky in order to keep up the incentive for them to do good work.If you have been unhappy with their product, you should do the same. After all, this is a product that is made in the USA and we should be holding such manufacturers to high standards so that we all can be proud.

I teach ~175 boisterous preteens. They love to smack this globe, spin it with a lot of force, and poke it hard to point out locations. This thing has taken quite a few tumbles (almost daily) onto the classroom floor with absolutely no damage whatsoever. The kids are always afraid that they broke it, and then immensely relieved when they see that the globe has withstood another beating. Its durability compared to its weight is outstanding. Teachers (or people with children around) — this is the one!

I read a lot of people’s complaints, but i think they’re just making crap up because they dropped the globe and messed it up and are just trying to get there money back so they can buy another one. Be careful to not drop your globe! This is an excellent glove. Perfectly lined up. Great colors. Stable base. Accurate axis and marketing and lines and what not. Highly recommend.

My 35yr old son loved it. Ca.e after his trip to the Olympics in Paris.A reminder to him that there's a lot more world to see.
