Got this for my dad for Father’s Day! The spatula works great, easy to clean, and super light weight! Highly recommend!

It works, not without its flaws, but it works, and I'd probably buy it again given the choice
I actually bought this grill last summer but ended up injuring my knee and wasn't able to use it for my intended purpose until today. I wanted something small and portable to strap to my kayak for picnicking on the river. There's a nice little sandy island halfway down a leg of the local river that makes for the perfect spot to kayak to, get out and do some fishing and grilling, and then pack up and head home down river. I wanted propane so I wouldn't have to deal with packing out charcoal. After trying a disaster of a different grill, that I sent back, I ended up buying this one because it looked like it had everything I need with an affordable price.Like I said, I finally got to use it for the first time today so here are my thoughts. Overall, somewhere between 3.5 and 4 stars. Here are the reasons it's not a 5 star product for me:1. The latch to hold the lid shut is a terrible design that you cannot trust to hold it shut while carrying it from the front handle. When I first got it, the latch wouldn't even stay closed. After some careful bending of the metal of it, I got it to "mostly stick", but still not something I'd trust. Everything else about this grill feels pretty solid, I'm surprised they skimped on this latch. For literally a dollar more they could have made something that closes perfectly every time.2. Slow cooking. Ok maybe that just comes with the territory, since it's a small portable grill. It takes about double the time it would take to grill a burger on your full size propane deck grill. I really wasn't too bothered by this, but I mention it as a specific bullet point because it loses heat SO FAST if you open the lid. And it takes forever to get back up to temp. So try to keep lid opening to a minimum.3. Uneven cooking. Partly my fault, I didn't realize until halfway thru that the head spreadher shield had come dislodged during transport. The burgers on the back were still almost frozen while the ones on the front were done. I was able to fix that and start another batch of burgers, hoping it'd be more even this time, but it was still pretty uneven. Seems the burgers on the left cook faster than the ones on the right? It makes you have to check often, which is a problem because of point number 2 above.Overall, it's a nice grill and I'm glad I own it. I cooked 6 burgers at a time, you might be able to squeeze 8 in, but 6 felt more comfortable. It took about 20 minutes, or 10 minutes per side to cook from frozen patties. It does what I wanted it to do, was a little cheaper than the other options out there, and overall I'm satisfied.

Good design. Minor issues.
The parts and design are good quality overall. The screws for the hinge mounts are a tad thin in my opinion and are unquestionably the toughest part of the grill to assemble without an extra pair of hands, but otherwise everything is quite nice and adequately built. The starter button works every single time after I made sure to press the connection between the button and the ignitor in all the way. I do have an issue with the warming rack having a missing "spoke". I will include a picture of that later. The main cooking grates are pretty thin. I would happily pay extra for some nice coated cast iron. The cooking surface is quite large for a tabletop grill. The legs hold the grill very steady on a flat surface. It's a very impressive design. Some previous reviews mention missing "wheels" that help the legs unfold, but no such part exists. There are no "wheels" in this design. There are bent spring washers required for the tension aspect of the mount to keep the leg mounts feeling solid as the legs are unfolded and folded back and will wear over time. Maybe that is what the reviewer was talking about. I had all those bent spring washers that I needed and was only missing a single flat washer (I simply made up for that by using one less flat washer in a much less critical area) I am very satisfied with the number of parts received and had no extra parts left over at all.The assembly requirement is extensive, but the instructions were very good in my opinion and I completed it in about an hour at a very leisurely pace. I am very mechanically inclined and typically have no issues assembling things, but this grill does not require a degree in mechanical engineering to assemble. Just a little patience, a pair of pliers and a couple of phillips screwdrivers are all you need. You have to be careful to not over-tighten a couple of screws that are threaded directly into sheet metal instead of with nuts to hold them in place. Just a little common sense is required.First use, it was a very windy and cold night to be using a grill, but it performed admirably. It takes a bit longer to cook steaks in this grill than it would in a larger grill with more heated mass (aka cast iron grates), but it did make great steaks. My girlfriend proclaimed it was the best steak she has ever had. Heat seemed to be pretty even, but the steaks were in the center of the grill. The ribeyes had a lot of flare-ups, but nothing too severe and that cut always seems to have flare-ups regardless of what kind of grill you cook them in. Dropped the temp to low to keep things from getting out of control and the added heat from the flare-ups kept the grill running pretty hot (I like to run a very hot grill). The grill does seem to run quite a bit hotter at the front and back edges of the grill. You have to rotate your food a bit using this grill. It's not the end of the world, but it's annoying and requires more of your attention and time to cook well with this grill. The heat deflector seems to be just a tad too effective. Think I will take a drill and pop some holes in that bad boy to make the heat a bit more even.I recommend this grill. There is a lot of value for the money here and it works like a champ. I am happy with my purchase despite the missing spoke on the warmer and the uneven heat.

Disappointed
This Mega master grill doesn't heat evenly or get hot enough to sear steaks and burgers without overcooking them. I gave away my Mr. Bar-B-Q camp grill that was a couple years old when I purchased this one. The Mr. Bar-B-Q is still selling for $49.98 at Lowes as I'm writing this ( It does not have the second level grill ) .. The old grill worked great, but I grill a couple times a week and the igniter stopped working and it needed a good general cleaning. The Mega master is larger and has the second level feature so I figured I would treat myself. The Mega master also uses much more propane . For me it was a waste of $. Looking back I should've bought the Mr. Bar-B-Q for $30 less.
