A pleasant surprise and easy to do!
Peace of mind, ease of process and fast resolution. I was pleasantly reminded I had purchased an Asurion extended warranty for a Philco boombox. Philco is a name for a defunct company with an OLD reputation for quality which remains in the public consciousness. Philips (a quality brand of electronics) had bought the name. Seeing how it had bounced around amongst world corporations, I was skeptical and so purchased an extended warranty. The CD player, used for a few discs and then set aside for audio cassette player use, malfunctioned when I tried to use it in my car 15 months later to listen to my CD collection, and then teach myself to "burn" compilation discs and so shed 150 discs with 1-2-3 hits. After one played okay, I could no longer place discs on the spindle, nor if I could, the discs were unread. So, thinking I was out of luck, I went to print out a receipt and see if by incurring freight and a repair fee, get it fixed. Not thrilled. Not only was $8.99 for three more years of warranty reasonable for a $79.99 boombox, the fact I could initiate a claim and some fields would be populated automatically through Amazon, I was impressed. It was an easy set of prompts for info. Learned the only remedy was a credit to the Amazon Account, which was fine. I boxed it up and attached a pre-printed freight paid label for UPS return, and dropped it off at a nearby CVS for pickup. As soon as the package was picked up, Asurion was already preparing to have my account credited as though there were a gift card. (I guess no one would send a box of rocks, expecting a refund, so return of the item is taken on faith.) Quick and easy, a pleasant surprise. Thank you, Asurion!

Fast and easy
Once I learned the email to submit my claim, the process was super easy and very fast. 1st time that i had to use my protection plan, and very happy i had it. Worth the additional funds.

Insurance was my best policy!
Well worth the cost to insure. I'm so glad I purchased this insurance. The cost was less than a hamburger from Micky Dee's. I insured my husband's Amazon Fitbit and somehow wearing it all the time, he couldn't adjust it. The communication was easy and ASURION PROTECTION replaced it.

Definitely worth it
Found it easy to file and claim and resolve the issue. Machine stopped working after 2+ years & due to the insurance, I was fully reimbursed. Other policies reimburse the current value, which I always found unfair. Pain was having to wrap up & take the item to the UPS store for a return. Wish they'd have allowed me to dispose of it without the hassle. Received a refund the very same day it was mailed back. Very efficient service. I'll definitely buy it again for another product.

Filing claim was very easy and quickly processed. The next day after returning the product. I received my full amount paid for the item on a gift card.

Quick process and fast credit
I used this for a pair of Plantronics Backbeat 410 Bluetooth head set. What I liked about it was the ease of locating your claim by selecting the amazon button to begin the claim process on the Asurion website and that it pulled up all the items I had under warranty through that vendor. I like that I was credited the full amount via digital gift card that I could post on Amazon right away from the code that was sent to my email. What I didn't like was that when purchasing an item the gift card section in checkout will not show you the full available amount of gift card balance if the purchase is less than the available amount. If you have a 70.00 gift card credit and you are buying a 15.00 item it will only show you 15.00 available gift card amount in checkout. To know the real amount available you have to select Account and Lists at the top right of the page then select Accounts, then select Gift cards to see the original amount credited and what remains. Every time you make a purchase you will see a deduction listed in gif cards section until the credit balance is used to 0 balance. Its a couple of extra steps that some consumers will have trouble figuring out thus causing confusion and unnecessary calls or emails to customer service. I am posting this to help others not go through the trouble I went though after a chat with Asurion website and a search on the Amazon Website. The last thing I didn't like was that I was given a refund without being asked if I wanted a refund or a replacement. I was lucky and found the same item for less and was able to repurchase it with another 3 year warranty but what does a customer do when the item is hard to find, or has increased in value due to market demand. When an item increases in value such as when graphics card prices doubled and tripled due to shortages, it takes the responsibility of replacement off the vendor and places the burden on the consumer. This is a practice used more and more degrading the purchase value consumers once had. All in all it was not a bad experience, just not well communicated to the customer.

Asurion is the best warranty company I have ever dealt with.
Asurion was great they reached out to me very fast and told me, I would receive a gift card For the full amount I paid for it when I purchased it. I shipped it back with the UPS Label furnished To me that night. I had my gift card the evening I took it to UPS. I also purchased the exact picture frame from the same company. They were A+ all the way.

Glad I got the Asurion Plan!!!
In 2022, I bought an Fitbit Inspire 2 along with the Asurion Plan. A couple of weeks ago, the band broke, so I ordered new bands. However, when I tried to put the new band on, I discovered the connecting area had broken, so the new bands would not stay on! I went back and found my plan. It was a three year plan, so it was still valid. I made a claim, sent back my Fitbit and in less than two days, my full purchase price was returned!!! I just upgraded my Fitbit to an Inspire 3 and bought a new plan. Fitbit is an OK product, but I have been through very many in the years I have been using them. Sometimes they lose the ability to hold a charge or as in this case, the plastic connecting area was broken. I wear my Fitbit all the time, so it does get a good workout! I hope this Inspire 3 serves me well.
