At first it seemed like a pricey addition to the orthopedic chair I was already shelling out for, but since having it I knew I had definitely made the right decision. It totally complements the chair and is great to sit on if you need to get comfy while accessing low storage cupboards and whatnot. Note that it is a fair bit lower than the 21" high seat of the chair but having it closer or further away allows for a variety of postures possible when putting your feet up. I love the chair and stool combo, and so do my cats but the great thing is that there is room for feet and a cat as it's decently wide.
