Another well designed part of the Kerdi product line.
The Kerdi-Line channel bodies and corresponding grates are fairly expensive, but they definitely provide a very nice system for building out a custom shower prior to the tile work. The final product should be great, with this linear drain adding a very nice design style for the bathroom when we complete it. It's definitely a well designed system, and the fact it is all fully waterproof, easy to work with, and lighteight is a great. When installing this channel body on a slab, there's a bit more involved in making the connections to the PVC drain line, but overall just a small amount of extra effort to get right.

Overrated!!!
Highly rated,Severely overpriced, overrated!!! The only thing it has going for it is that is beautiful looking.Drains slowly, backs up frequently, difficult to clean.We remodeled 2 bathrooms, had this drain installed in the 1st one. After using it, when it was time for the 2nd bathroom, we chose another kind of drain.

I have been in the industry for over 2 decades. I have seen many drains fail. Never seen one of these fail. This is the only system to invest in. Follow instructions. Live worry free!

Must know what you're doing
You must be a professional tile setter to use this. Dont try it if you are not either a setter or a plumber. This works the way it is designed to work for a walk in shower with no curb.

Advertised measurements are wrong and misleading
This Schluter drain was a complete waste of my money. I ordered it early and left it sitting in a closet. Today, when I went to install it, it didn't fit. I thought I had completely missed the measurement, but as it turns out, it is the advertised length that is wrong. It was advertised as 28", which meant I had plenty of room to miss the joist. But it is actually 29 1/2" long...so I can't miss the joist!I would appreciate it if Amazon would take this product back, as it is in it's original packaging. Yes, it's past the 30 days, but the advertised length is completely misleading!
