Great entry level amp for an sq build
Awesome sound quality. The detail it brings out in my system is amazing. I can hear more instruments and the vocals gained lots of clarity. It is definitely a large amp like people say. some claim that it gets pretty hot, but if you keep it below ear damaging levels, it stays perfectly cool. The terminals are great, much better than those little hex key screws. Settings are about what you’d expect for an entry level amp, should be using head unit crossovers anyways. I’d say go for it if you want a basic system upgrade from oem.

Great amp and runs pretty cool after hours of use
I am using this in the bridged mode to power a Niles speaker selector switch for 6 pairs of speakers. I have the amp installed in the engine room of my boat. The engine room does not get really hot but also not much airflow. I tried a Rockford amp before this one and it got hot really quickly and would then cause a hum in the speakers when a signal was not being passed through the speakers. I returned that amp and bought this Focal amp. It was bigger than the higher power Rockford amp. But I have had zero issues with this amp. It runs cooler than the Rockford amp does and has not gotten hot even after hours of use on hot days. The sound is crystal clear and it was really easy to tune the amp so I get no distortion.

Sounds great but goes into protection mode easily
When I first hooked up this amp I was very pleased with it's sound and ability to play loud and clean. I flogged it for an hour with different types of music played from different sources. It performed flawlessly. But a few days later I cranked the volume up for a favorite song and after only 10-15 seconds it went into protection mode. It didn't come back til I tried it the next day. Now it seems to do this intermittently. Grounds and wiring all correct and good. I'm shopping for another amp now.

Love this amp, it brought my entire audio system to life! Highly satisfied. Also the first one was a bad amp. Ch3 and 4 weren't working. I messaged they sent me out a new amp and has been grest ever since. Thank you!
