The Little Engine That Could mini Hardcover – August 30, 1990

My 2 1/2 yr old grandson has me reread this story to him multiple times and I remember it as a positive message when I was young…..I think I can!

My siblings and I remember our Dad, who is 95 years old, read this story at bedtime. I purchased this copy for sentimental reasons. Love it!

I now have one for each of my boys, hope they like it.

This book is a must for every child. The message is wonderful and inspiring for a young child as it demonstrates a "can do" positive attitude and how important it is to believe that you can achieve something that others thought you could not do. In this book, it is the little engine that believed it could climb the big mountain when other engines said it could not. I think I can!

This book was one of my favorite books when I was a child and It is. It’s a good book to read aloud as you can use your acting voices to entertain your child. As mentioned above, this book is about a train trying to get over the mountain with it’s cargo running into problems then overcome adversity.Of course it wasn’t until I was older in a library science class in college that I realized that the meaning of this book is about believing in yourself and not giving up. Then keep saying “I think I can, I think I can”!

I used the book as an example in my children’s Sunday school class,to show GOD can use the weak to accomplish HIS will,if they are willing

It is a great motivaltional story for us all!

The book has lovely old fashioned illustrations and a good moral tale. Was a little dissatisfied at the size, it is very small but probably my fault for not checking the dimensions! Overall very pleased with it.

Great memories of this important story. But this version didn't do much for me. Good condition upon arrival.
