Aprilaire 8840 7-Inch Color Touchscreen Wi-Fi Automation IAQ Thermostat

This is an absolute dreadful product and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody ever. If want to only control it from the thermostat then I guess go for it. If you have any desire to control the product through the app and control it whenever you want then do yourself the biggest favor ever and run from this product. This is a company that has no idea how to build an app or make it function as it should. Goin on two years in with this product and the app crashes constantly; the keypad, for some unknown reason, communicates every command you give to the companies corporate servers which slows down every request; because your dependent upon their servers when they have problems then you do as well- it's been down for the last 8 hours today. I could go on and on but won't, just stay away from this absolutly terrible product.

This thermostat came with our house which we bought new three years ago. The touch screen stopped working but I discovered it would still work with the app so I’ve been using that because it would cost $582 to replace it. I called technical support and they were no help .
