The Best Book on Health I’ve Ever Read
A must read. Not kidding. If everyone read this book we would all have less disease, better metabolic processes, better sleep, and better dispositions. This is coming from a person who went to sleep after 1 am most days after eating dinner at 9:30pm. Thank you Dr. Kshirsagar for al the insights- you have changed my life for the better.

Align your life with the rhythms of nature and become your own best doctor!
In his new book, “Change Your Schedule, Change Your Life," Dr. Suhas Kshirsager, shares an excellent, clear description and explanation of circadian rhythms, clock genes, connecting your body with the rhythms of nature, connecting with your heartbeat and so much more.“Using the bodies clock” is such an intelligent way of optimizing your energy each day.He shares fascinating information which is relevant to the the 2017 Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine which was awarded to Jeffrey Hall, Michael Rosbash, and Michael Young for their discovery of “molecular mechanisms controlling the circadian rhythm.”Dr Suhas emphasizes the fact that your body has it’s own inner knowingness of when to wake up, excersize, eat, work and sleep. Medical knowledge explains that it’s not how much you eat, sleep or excercise, but when you perform each daily activity that makes the most difference for your weight, vibrancy and overall health. The section in his book on getting in touch with your heartbeat, by literally taking your own pulse is especially beneficial. Checking in with your heartbeat throughout the day is a transformational way of honoring your heart in every activity, food choice, exercise level and making the best choices for the pulsations of your heart. It is amazing to learn how tapping in to your own physiology can reduce anxiety, addictions, cravings, improve sleep and prevent diseases. This book is truly an excellent learning tool to teach individuals how to heal themselves by aligning their routine to the rhythms of nature and becoming their own best doctor.Arlene Fox, M.EdMaui, HI

Glorified pseudoscience
Book is full of glorified pseudoscience, bought the book to learn about changing the schedule not why we should all hail Ayurveda and use it as the answer to everything. There was not even any clear mention that this book was covering "Ayurveda" and that the whole book would be about why it is the best answer and that all other science is worse.I do not believe that Ayurveda is the answer to everything, and I am annoyed that the book again and again has to praise it. There are also so many assumptions again and again with no real backing. I will give an example, the book says that a calorie surplus is irrelevant and that meal timings and following the Ayurveda method is the better way to lose weight. I disagree, just eat less, weight loss may have a mental game to it, but it really is just to end the day with less calories than when you were fat and continue the trend till you have reached your goal body composition.Buy another book that has someone more qualified with some real research behind it, not this one, wish I could return the book, but my return window has closed..

Cirdadian cycles are nature's way of guiding us into the most healthy behaviors
Even though I'm a very long term advocate and user of Ayurvedic health practices, I was still very enamored with this book by Dr Suhas. The concept of Circadian Rhythms having an influence on all aspects of our body and health is a major aspect of Ayurveda, but the success and value is all 'in the details' of how to implement around these cycles in nature. And this book definitely provides those details, that I was a bit light on even with my years of practice. I was especially intrigued with the large amount of Western research accruing on distinct pieces of this very far-reaching concept, and this research is salt and peppered throughout the entire book. So enlightening that Western health has scattered awareness of the health concepts so vital due to these cycles, BUT Western health / medicine still hasn't reached the overal holistic package that ties all the practices together into this book's powerful package. I revised my own Circadian rhythm practices quite as I read this book, and even in the short time that encompased, I was noticing very definite, beneficial changes. Get this book! But be ready to find yourself arguing a little bit, due to some challenges in changing your life behaviors. Our Western path pushes us into conflict with BEST practices. Buckminster Fuller famously has told us to change the existing model, rather than fighting the existing one that doesn't offer the best solutions.

Great advice for making small, simple changes to help overall well being
I read this book a few months ago. I really liked the simple advice. It is base on Ayurveda, and that is a lifestyle I can't fully embrace, but I took the simple changes it advised to heart and it has made a world of difference. After I read this, I ordered The Circadian Code from my library (as both have to do with circadian rhythm). The Circadian Code has advice that, in my opinion, is easier to implement.Listen to your body. Wake up at the same time every day, go to bed at the same time. Go for a walk when you wake up. Stop eating before 7 pm so your body has enough time to digest food. Get as much daylight as you can. Working by a window is better for you than not being by a window. We need blue light during the day.I think this book offered great advice and is a great beginner's guide if you want to embrace the Ayurveda lifestyle.

Amazing book
For me, this author draws together easy to follow guidance from the dizzying wealth of information on Ayurveda that exists out there. Very knowledgeable and well written. It mainly concentrates on diet, exercise and sleep. I've been reading lots of books on the subject and this is the one I've been looking for.

Really interesting book. It’s good to learn how modern science is linked to ancient Ayurvedic principles.
