Product Description A waiter for four years since high school, Dean (Justin Long) has never questioned his job at Shenanigan. Will not boot up in Xbox 1S and Xbox 360. .com The bitter, vengeful world of waiting tables gets the Clerks treatment in Waiting.... A new employee (John Francis Daley, Freaks and Geeks) gets trained at Shenanigan's, a banal theme restaurant where the bored employees play a game of flaunting their genitals. The staff includes a snarky waiter (Ryan Reynolds, Van Wilder, The Amityville Horror) who lusts after the underage hostess; a waiter suffering from crippling pee-shyness (Robert Patrick Benedict, Threshold); an oracular dishwasher (Chi McBride, Roll Bounce); and a conflicted waiter named Dean (Justin Long, Dodgeball), who's just been offered a promotion to assistant manager--a job that offers more money, but threatens to trap him at Shenanigan's for the rest of his life. Waiting... is a loose shamble of a movie--the only thing resembling a story is Dean's life crisis--but that's part of its charm. It's a tricky thing to depict tedium without being tedious, but Waiting... pulls it off; some jokes smack of forced sitcom writing, but most of the humor feels genuine, as if it came from writer/director Rob McKittrick's personal experience. A future cult film. Also featuring Anna Faris (Lost in Translation), Luis Guzman (The Limey), and rabidly adored stand-up comic Dane Cook as..a cook. --Bret Fetzer

Might not dine out much after this one.
Classic slapstick college age antics with an all star cast. Bit vulgar but we all were once young.

Ryan Reynolds’s Best Movie
This is a MUST SEE for anyone who has ever worked in the restaurant industry. Laugh out loud funny, it almost hurts.

Yes, it's really like that
I was interested in seeing the film Waiting because I had been a waitress for 20 years, and wanted to see if the film was going to honestly reveal what actually goes on in the kitchen and the server station. After viewing the video and getting tired from laughing so much I can say, YES! IT'S ALL TRUE! IT IS REALLY LIKE THAT!. Speaking as a former professional server, I'm sure this film will open the eyes of (and perhaps frighten) restaurant patrons. It was all familiar to me, from the examples of customers the servers love--or, love to hate, to the behavior of the manager, and onward to the realtionships and personal lives of the employees. Did I enjoy my job and have as much fun and frustration as these workers? Yes, and if you ask anyone who has worked this type of job and seen this film I'm certain they will give you the same answer. I'm not going to be specific in the review because to tell anything about the situations you will see is to spoil the surprise effect of seeing what goes on while you are eating your meal. When we sit down and are served, the type of service we receive is always one of the topics of conversation. This movie reveals what is said when the people being served provide the topic of conversation for the servers. Watch the special features too, because you'll learn about the writer/director. He was a server and uses examples from his experiences. If you decide to buy this video, read this review again before you watch it. It will definitely add another dimention to the humor.
