This is my 2nd one, and it went bad after 30 days
Very disappointed with this product and the support received from the merchant and Amazon for that matter. My wife convinced me to get this item I was somewhat against it, but like the idea of having a hidden electrical pop up, not to mention since we remodeled the kitchen and added a $3000 countertop which we cut a hole in to fit this device, I bought one first and it failed within 30 days, not only this but the top when pressed didn't even turn on after about 6 tries, I am not sure how this is built but it needs to be revisited, on with my story, replaced the item for a new one because it was within 30 days and my wife like it (anything for the wife), so the second one now failed after 30days, so you can imagine my disappointment and even worst it's not the same issue, on the unit the outer shell is plastic I am assuming some of the innner working besides the motor is plastic it seems as if something went loose in the unit and now it does not come up at all, you can hear the motor but it will not go up, this is very frustrating and disappointing, I have some the merchant and Amazon an email and have yet to hear from anyone, I am not as upset because this item is not working I am more upset that I cut into a $3000 piece of counter to fit this device into. Do not buy this product, support and making of this item seems very low grade and cheap.

Plastic ring on top with uneven unfinished paint
The motor works smoothly, and the top was made in glass, making it almost worth it. But the ring of the top glass was made in low quality plastic. The silver paint of the plastic was not even done right with unfinished black spots, so I definitely worry about the quality. The waterproof is by words, so it cannot save you a GFCI to pass the inspection if installed on a kitchen countertop. This is very long, so you need extra clearance below. The usual one layer of drawer is not enough. Usually a new kitchen can consider using this. But all the problems are not problems if used for a meeting room table.

Looks nice, does not charge phones by sitting them on top.
I purchased with the purpose of it charging the cell. phones by sitting them on top and not always having to use a USB cable. Charging does not work on my cell.
