Short & Powerful Guide For Any Assistant
Bonnie’s ‘Be The Ultimate Assistant’ is a short, but powerful book packed with professional insights. As an assistant myself who has been craving more after holding myself back in entry-level administrative roles, this read was a great, confidence-building wake-up call. While geared primarily towards the Celebrity Assisting space (a must read for anyone in the entertainment industry,) the stories and tips are practical for all administrative professionals. I laughed, nodded in agreement, and was reminded of the everyday considerations that make a large impact like linking your LinkedIn profile to your name in your email signature. One sentence that stuck with me was, “Take advantage of the unique opportunities that come your way. Sometimes you only get one chance.”Strive to be the best version of yourself (because you deserve nothing less,) and your potential is limitless.Thank you for sharing your career and learning experiences with the community, Bonnie!

A celebrity PA...?! You're either have it or not to be one! (But why not trying?!)
WOW is the word I should use to describe the fascination of reading this book!Bonnie kills it from all angles and aspects and makes you honesrly realize if a celebrity PA job is for you. It's one those professions that weren't meant for everyone and it's clearly you're either have it or not to be one.Bonnie clearly have what it takes to be one as if she was "born" to be just that.As not everyone can be a healer massage therapist...not everyone can or should be a celebrity PA! You need the special magical touch! The book covers a lot, if not everything, about the tasks of celebrities PA's, that by the end of it you'll know if you still want to be a celebrity PA or rather give up the fantasy of that celebrity PA job you painted in your mind.Clearly a lot of people think celebrities are the same people they play themselves to the media, but in reality they're like all of us...with the same baggage and issues, sometimes more to the extreme because of so much pressure on them to be "perfect" for us.So yes, being a celebrity PA can be a roll-coaster for some or a smooth sailing for others.Thankfully, Bonnie, with her excellent sense of humor, deliver the book in a fun and eye level honest way that everyone can connect and relate to! Many times I forgot that I'm reading a non fiction book and that's why its fascinating...because it's almost like reading someone's thiriling adventure of becoming a celebrity PA...a fantasy job most of us can only dream of.But for some, for food or bad, it can definitely happen thanks to this excellent manual of how to become the best possible PA.This book is the best professional and academic -like lecture to whoever dreamed or thought a celebrity job is a a career option, it's an excellent class in human and professional behavior in a sensitive challenging environment!

Great primer!
I've been serving high-powered attorneys for several years and was interested in shifting towards the work of an executive assistant. I found this book to be a detailed and honest primer. You may find that some of the information surrounding technology to be a little dated, but the overall message is timeless. The most important aspect I received from this book was a reminder, as a capable woman, to embrace my skills while being extraordinary. The author definitely appears to be a champion for women. Easiest 2-day read!

A Guide for Any Assistant or Anyone Who Wants to be an Assistant
Recently, I took up a position as an Executive Assistant for a CEO who has a larger than life personality and vision for his company. With that comes a lot of tasks that he cannot juggle all at once, and passes on to me. I've never been an assistant before and he's never had one. We say all the time how we take things one day at a time and learn together. He encouraged me to look for resources and potentially a conference to go to so I can learn how to become an even better assistant and help clarify each others' roles/relationship. I went down that rabbit hole and came across Bonnie's workshops, conferences, and this book! I decided to purchase it, adding it to the long list of books I want to read. I dug right in when I received it in the mail, and it's been nothing short of wonderful. Most concepts apply, little do not. She works for someone in showbiz, I work for a CEO who does not have as much of a glamorous life or such personal demands as she does. However, most of her ideas, tips and others have been immensely helpful. Some of her stories I giggle at, especially her tips of "at some point you will have to do ___" and think back to how I was tasked with those my first day or within the first month of starting my position. The small details that she speaks of are so important, and I added them to my toolbox, ready to use when the occasion reveals itself. I've highlighted, taken notes, and discussed ideas from her book with my CEO and he also thought they were helpful, that we should put them to use! This book helped me reaffirm my role, and clarify tasks that I should be taking on. Some of the things my supervisor asks me to do, I feel as though they are too personal and I don't always feel equipped to handle them. However, she validates these thoughts by reminding me that by taking on the tasks, it frees him to do the job he does best. This is such a useful resource and I am so glad she took the time to write this book. Thank you, Bonnie!
