InFocus Screenplay SP2080HD, DLP 1920 x 1080, 4000 Lumens, 3D Advanced, TechStation Projector

I bought this projector to replace an aging BenQ w1070+. I often view with some ambient light, so I wanted a bright projector. InFocus SP2080HD is definitely very bright, but there is something wrong and disturbing with the way it does motion. I can't really explain what, but it definitely feels wrong (I tried all modes, 60fps, 24fps etc, different input sources, all the options in the menu). I just couldn't watch movies with it. It is fine for presentations, but that's not what I bought it for.The remote is quite bad, non-backlit, and requires very precise pointing at the projector front. There is only one user mode, and it's overwritten by any change in regular mode. For instance, you spend time calibrating and adjusting the user mode, then switch to some other mode, e.g. cinema. If you make any change in that mode, e.g. change from bright to eco - that's your new user mode, all previous changes are lost!I thought maybe it all can be fixed with a firmware update: surprise, surprise, there is no such projector in support section on infocus.com site (as of 5/20/2020). SP1081HD is there, but not SP2080.InFocus needs to try harder if it really plans to return to the home market.

The hdmi input was a little sketchy. The plug had to be in just right to work. The picture has no horizontal keystone adjustment. Other than that it seems to be a good projector so far.

We order this Projector because we need one with excellent focus and quality when the image is projected in a longer distance.After many tries with other brands, we decided to buy and stay with this one.

We use this projector for family movie nights at the agency where I work and it is such an improvement from the projector that we had been using. Larger, clearer picture and portable!

The setup took a little while and occasionally during long presentations it freezes up and we have to reconnect the computer but that could be from the computer and not the projector. I’m not tech savvy enough to know. Overall, great product.

Die dB Angabe auf dem Datenblatt ist ein joke, bei mins temparturen soll der Beamer leise sein,... entsprechend laut ist er bei 22°, hohes pfeifen auch im Eco modus.Für Business ggf ok... Bild war spitze. Grösse ok.
