DARIAN THE DRAGON RAIN GUTTER

Works great and looks great too.

Really cute, without being precious. I chose the dragon since I enjoy the irony in how this one breathes water instead of fire! It actually serves a purpose here; our downspout has a 4-ft long extension that would come loose and blow across the yard whenever we got sturdy winds. Unfortunately, most often those winds come when a storm is blowing in, sending the downspout out where it is useless at the very time it is needed. This has enough weight to act as an anchor, keeping the spout where it should be. After a heavy rain, only a tablespoon or so of water remains pooled inside which was something I was concerned about when I made the purchase. I do not want to provide mosquitoes with a place for them to set up a maternity ward. Dragon boy has proven to be worth the price, and he gets along surprisingly well with the large gecko population we have.

This is the cutest little thing. Fits the downspout just fine. However, my gutters are all different distances from the ground. I will need to work on them a bit for the right height to install more little critters. I bought Darian and the frog. I got two just in case I wasn't happy with them. I am so happy with them, I am going to buy critters for all the downspouts. They aren't too big to be in the way of anything. Some of the downspouts are in slightly awkward spots, but these little critters will work just fine. Not sure whether I want to get other critters are just Darian and frog. The frog is a tiny bit bigger and has a wider mouth. I am writing this same review under the frog and Darian.

Fits standard 4” gutter spout perfectly. 3” will not fit as well as opening in back will be too large; so spout will be lose. Mine has now survived mid teen temps with freezing rain and snow. Holding up fine so far. Great detail and loads of character. Adds some personality to the yard; especially on those gray drab winter days. Looks awesome the rest of the year as well! Love him!

These are very cute but not super functional. They are much smaller than the downspout holes we have and do not have any weight to them so in high winds they need to be picked up. But they are very cute and add a touch of whimsy to the outside of the house. We ended up buying regular long pads for the water to run off on and just put these in top of those for decoration.

He is adorable and sturdy. Had to fight a bit to get the flexible downspout to fit on him but it works and this directs the water away from my garden.

This item arrived as promised. It was easy to add to the end of my existing downspout. I did add an extension so that I could move it out from the house and add it to the landscape border. It works as expected and I love the look. The instructions do say to take it in during freezing weather which disappoints me a little.

This is a nice touch for my gutter! Love it
