This is the first dashboard car mount can mount my Nokia 1520 securely and safely on my car windshield.I had two others before this one, they are either too small to clamp onto the 6" screen of 1520, or too flimsy to last for long, this one has a better design and it is not interfering with the side buttons (there are several of them) of my phone, as it clamps down from top and bottom.The installation of the plastic spacer to stop the clamps are a little afterthought, but other than that the installation is easy.9-3--2017After almost a year's daily use, this proves to be a very durable device. It clamps on the windshield securely (as far as I am concerned, it did not fall off once), it holds the phone securely, and I have no problem with it.10-22-2017I changed my car but I carry this phone holder to my new car, it still works beautifully, very reliable.3-26-2018Still using it on a daily basis.I am surprised it lasts this long!12-20-2018Still going....

The media could not be loaded.  The mount holds my Samsung Galaxy Tab S very tightly and it didn't move at all during hard maneuvering. The biggest reason that I don't really want to use this product anymore isn't really a fault of the product, but that my 8.4" tablet just takes up too much of the windshield. The only real drawback that I saw with the mount is that the plastic is a hard plastic that makes the whole product feel a bit cheap. Overall, it did the job of holding my tablet and was easy to use. I am hoping this Arkon mount lasts longer than a smaller mount I purchased for my smartphone a couple of years ago. So far, so good. The arrangement seems odd at first, as the bottom two "fingers" are spring-loaded. But in my 2900 mile trip, using my Nexus 7 for navigation and other chores, this mount held the tablet securely while still in its protective case, while not blocking any of the screen. The suction mount is very strong--it doesn't even think of coming loose unless I physically unlock it. Fingers are crossed I get a nice lifetime out of this unit. The warranty was so poor on my previous mount that I am still wary of this one. (In essence, you had to send them what amounts to the wholesale cost of the mount as a "return fee" along with your broken item. Not acceptable. Not even close.)

It actually works!The sucker is very strong. I had it on for about a year before it fell off on its own. I didn't even wipe the glass properly like you're supposed to. There's no glue, it's purely suction from the rubber cup. Leaves a barely visible trace behind.The middle knob is sometimes hard to reach, but you only need to tighten it occasionally. The spring holding the phone is very strong, you have to hold the grips on one side while pushing your phone into the other (mobile) side. If you just push without bracing, it will twist the holder off. Takes some finesse but once you figure it out, not too bad.Comes with two sets of grips, one for small and one for large phones. You clip the ones you want onto the platform. My Nexus 4 with rubber case fit perfectly in the smaller grips.

I am very staisfies with this product. It is versatile and robust. The Arkon Winshield Dashboard Car Mount can fit any size phone AND tablets with the diagonal screensize of 8"! As well and being versatile, it can be adjusted to be attached on either the windshield or the dashboard. This product comes with a 3M type disk which is self-adhesive to be placed on your dashboard. This disk serves to hold the suction cup on the mount itself.The suction cup comes with a type of adhesive on it as well to add the to the strength of the suction cups mount. There is no question of its strength. The suction can withstand any reasonable and unreasonable pressure I have submitted it to while attaching devices to it. All this while being able to mount virtually ANY device up to and to include an 8" tablet.It is properly amazing in my opinion. The price is also extremely competetive.

This unit was purchased to hold an Older 7" Galaxy 2 tab. Using an APP for off-roading and being able to track and follow the waypoints throughout the trail. (i.e. so we don't get lost in the middle of the desert or mountains) Used it this past weekend on about 125 miles of off road terrain through Joshua Tree National Park, back side of Big Bear Mountain California, Yucca Valley and I had no issues with this bouncing around at all. It was very firm and easy to make adjustments while on the move!! Note that when the sun was hitting the Tablet, I just moved the unit higher inside the window (Closer to the roof), I actually kept it there as I liked it's position better, up and out of the way. I am using the small arms because that is all that is needed for this size and my GalTab4 will fit using the long arms.Very sturdy product and worth the purchase.Satisfied.

I have a long drive to work, (aprox 50 miles one way) and I like to use my phone for entertainment. I hate when the phone vibrates, making it hard to read artist names on pandora etc. After buying this mount, that problem is SOLVED!It's well built, rock steady, and easy to mount the phone as well.Grip on the phone is firm, with no chance of it falling out.The only time I ever see any vibration at all, is when i'm driving over really rough gravel roads.Suction cup sticks well, but also releases easily.I only mount mine to the windshield, so I can not comment on how it sticks to dashes.It comes with a dash mount disc, so I assume it doesnt stick directly to dashes very well.Happy enough with the product, that I bought another for the other car I drive.

Worked like a charm, I have it holding up a Samsung Tab 4, looks like it was made for it, adjusts in all directions. I used it to mount the system in my boat and the additional plate worked beautifully, would definitely recommend! Shipped fast.

Having ordered two of these already I would recommend them to anyone. The product is solid and steady and with the suction base being on a trigger there is no need to use bite force or moisture to stick to a window.The circular adhesive pad allows you to mount it to your dash if you want but it's probably better on the windowThe cradle is sprung from the broom only which means you can put your phone in and out with just one hand.The initial setup is a bit fiddly as there are tiny stoppers to insert to stop the jaw pieces from sliding out of the side. Took about 5 minutes to get all 4 in.I now have 3 arkon holders and they are the best I've ever used.

The BEST dashboard/windscreen mount. EVER. Extremely sturdy and heavy duty. The suction cap is the strongest I've seen so far. Adjustable in all directions. Will hold rock solid anything from a 4" smartphone to a 8" tablet - and doing so without using any magnets, sticky surface, excessive force or pushing the side buttons of your phone/tablet. Very simple to install and adjust and device can inserted and released very simply and quick. Absolute A++++++ product.

Okay, does not stick to the window very well. Can cause quite a distraction as your Tab 2 commits mounticide and dives for the snowy and salty floor with your tablet.....
