Absolutely delighted ..looks great in solid Case .bought to replace old Wind up Model .was my Grandads. Had since his death 1988...nowy own Grandson will be taking it .my Wife's Present for my 78th Birthday,...thank you Bab xx He says to remind him of our Home .One for One .

Finally hung this thing after purchasing it months ago. It's really good quality! It is indeed Suuuper quiet, even in a totally silent room. Once the back is closed, I had to strain to hear it. Beautiful dark wood finish, looks rich. The pendulum up close looks like it's made of pretty cheap metal with a thin coat of pale gold paint, but from afar you can't tell. At first when I put the batteries in, the pendulum didn't swing, but after a couple minutes it started to pick up and was moving fine. I did not have the issue with it hitting the side walls as other reviewers commented. However, after awhile the pendulum constantly swinging in my periphery got annoying, so I took the battery out for that portion. Haha It functions separately from the clock. Only con I would say is it doesn't have a second hand. But that doesn't really bother me. Totally worth the buy!

This was a gift for my mom and she absolutely loved it. Very beautiful and good quality.

It adds a touch of elegance to my living room. A very good bang for your buck. My main peeve is the back slab fell out multiple times while trying to assemble it.

I needed to replace an old pendulum clock and this one was definitely a step up. It's beautiful and very well made. Setting it up couldn't be any simpler. If I had any criticism at all, the pendulum tended to swing to far to either side, tapping the glass. Some may like that, but my personal preference if for it to be silent, The problem was very easily solved by placing a magnet on the back of the pendulum, weighing it down just enough, allowing it to swing without tapping. I would definitely recommend it
