Sticks anywhere and has a very strong hold after you let the adhesive cure for a few minutes. The benefit of the clear strips is also apparent to me as I've been able to use them anywhere without noticing them - in contrast to the white and black ones I've used that always seem to stand out like a soar thumb to me. Highly recommended and I would purchase them again any day! Update: After over one year of use I've noticed that the adhesive may come loose if any amount of dust, or debris like loose paint chips were left between the surface and the adhesive backing - though the strips can be reattached using double sided tape. Also, these only work on solid, non porous materials (hence noting that it works on glass and such). Surfaces like fabric, the underside of rugs or carpeting, or anywhere the adhesive does not make contact with enough surface area such as with wicker furniture, bundled smaller items, and the like will not work well with this version of the product, though other velcro options exist for such instances.

I wanted something to hold my 2 plastic soap dishes onto the tiles behind my bathroom sink, to get them off the countertop. The suction cup thingies don't always hold and they usually have drain holes in the bottom of the dish, which would make a yucky mess on the counter. However, these work great! I stuck the harder section to the tiles and the softer section to the side of the soap dish. I balanced them just above the countertop backsplash, so the dish has a little extra support. I had to reapply these about 3 times, to get them where I wanted them, so I thought they might lose their stickiness. They didn't and it's one week later---still holding! Also, I can easily romove them for cleaning. I love, love, love, STICKY VELCRO!!! You can't go wrong with this buy. STICKY IS GOOD!!! STICKY IS GREAT!!!

These work great. I was babysitting my grandson and after hours of hearing him yell at Minecraft I decided I needed a break. I applied these to the wall and to the back of his shirt. He hung there for about an hour and after he promised he wouldn't yell at the creepers anymore I let him down. These things work great!! ***Please note:this review was fiction,I do not know if they can hold a child, but they do hold my remotes on the side of my nightstand perfectly =)
