12 Month Tree and Shrub Protect and Feed II, Granules, 4 lb, Outdoor Insect Killer

I have 3 maple trees that started popping up with hard scale about 3 years ago. I didn’t even know what scale was until I saw our neighbor’s trees that were completely covered in them and then starting spotting the ugly beasts on my beautiful trees. I tried everything from scrubbing off, smothering them and scraping them off (at least what I could reach) using every different spray on treatment under the sun and unfortunately only spraying a mixture of canola oil and water on the hose sprayer seemed to slightly help, but it was a huge mess and I felt like the neighborhood idiot every time I had to go outside and spray my trees down. So I noticed thousands of ants climbing up and down my maples which I tried to stop with multiple remedies like Vaseline and sticky wraps but nothing could stop the ants. On top of that my trees were always surrounded by flies, yellow-jackets and wasps all of these bugs are just taking advantage of the scale giving them easy access to the sweet maple sap. Long story short, my maples were crawling with pests and they were driving me nuts. Then I read somewhere about some old farmer mentioning using this BioAdvanced 12 month treatment and how it worked from the inside out and only needs one treatment every year so much better than spraying my trees 20ft trees every 6 weeks! So I applied to each tree first thing this spring and honestly the difference was night and day. No scale! I only saw one scale the entire year which I’m pretty sure was dead from last year. No ants! No flies! No wasps or yellow-jackets! My trees just looked and seemed so much happier this year and so am I!

I have some volunteer aspens growing in my yard but they've got bumps under the bark that makes them grow funny and be sickly looking. Assuming bugs, but could be an infection too, fortunately this stuff treats lots of issues. I gave this to them and a couple weeks later, all bumps gone! They're leafing out and straightening up already, seem to be helping the sick trees in the neighbors yard too (aspens stay connected) Have been giving this stuff to all my trees and bushes for three years now, no joke they're almost 4x the size they were when I started plus they're super healthy and happy and the Japanese beetles don't like the taste, added bonus. I use the other bioadvanced for flowers and rose bushes, too. Everyone compliments my yard, it's much healthier, happier and greener than any around. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product if you want truly beautiful, healthy looking, disease and pest resistant trees and bushes!

This the best product I have found to get rid of aphids, white flies, and any bug that tries to eat my plants. I am on my third year of using it and it just plain works. Pricey but a little goes a very long way. Highly recommended.

I used this last Spring to combat aphids on my Crepe Myrtle and Japanese Maple trees and Photinia, Azalea, and Rhododendrons shrubs. This product was 100% effective and I never saw a single aphid during Spring and Summer last year. Additionally, the food made the trees and shrubs look healthier than ever before with glossy green leaves. I have just purchased this again and applied it to all the same trees and shrubs. It is worth every penny since it is only applied once and protects and feeds for the entire growing season.

This product is the closest thing thing to a miracle I’ve ever experienced. I have a 7ft indoor ficus tree that is 12+ years old which I had neglected over the years. It had slowly started to lose leaves and branches started to die. It finally got to a point where it was very sparse and upon close inspection, I noticed a lot of shiny ‘dew’ like substance on the stems and leaves. Underneath all the remaining leaves, were small hard brown oval lumps. I researched the web and discovered they are known as hard scales, which are very difficult to eradicate if a plant is heavily infested. Most of the advice was to dispose of the tree when in that state. As a last resort, I tried this product and to my utmost surprise, it totally eradicated all the scales and the tree has completely recovered and has put out more leaves and new growth than ever before. The tree is a thing of beauty now. Unbelievable. Here are some details: The tree sits in a 15 gallon pot and I moved it outside to my covered porch. I made the mixture per instructions and poured it in the pot. Underneath the pot,was a plastic container to catch the runoff. I then poured the runoff back onto the pot repeatedly several times until it was all absorbed by the soil and there was no more runoff. This was last summer and during several rain events, I moved the tree outside for exposure. I moved the tree back indoors later in fall. Very pleased with this product.

Bayer "Bioadvanced" products perform decently. My issues are this item arrived with no seal underneath the cap. This coupled with the product being half empty led me to believe someone likely purchased it and used half before returning it... all before it was sent to me. Bayer will likely claim product 'settling may occur', however shipping a half empty plastic container is wasteful.
