TL:DR - Yes, I definitely recommend.I can never remember my blood type and, after digging around in my charts and finding nothing useful, I decided to buy this kit. Sure, I could have made a phone call. I'd rather poke a hole in my finger than listen to my doctor's office hold music.This kit is super easy to use. It comes with a hole-poker (medical term) and 4 sticks. You poke your finger (once), then follow the directions to put the blood on the sticks. The sticks (with the blood) then get applied to the attached test card. In just a few minutes, the results are right in front of you. And there's a super easy-to-read chart (all visual) to tell you what your type is. Also did this with my son, who thought it was a very fun biology experiment (in MY DAY we did this in school -- I probably should have written down the results then).

don't buy just one, buy a pack of 3 or maybe 5 because I bought just one and nothing worked. The caps on the yellow "blood collectors" were welded on and we a nightmare.... easy twist off, nope.

Received replacement and the lancet worked this time. Alcohol prep pad was dried out but had a fresh pack at home. Test was quick and painless.

Followed the instructions to the letter; got an invalid test due to a lack of agglutination on one of the samples.Suspect it might be from a lack of blood produced by the lancet.Probably just going to have to pay for a lab test to be sure.
