Creative Teaching
I bought 4 full-card games for my classroom (36 or so students per period). I divided my students into groups of 6. I marked three sets and kept the sets separated. When a group finished, we stopped the whole class--the students told their story. The students listened with mental worksheets making sure they had an authentic story line and elements. The audience voted (thumbs up or down) and new game was started, while the other stories resumed. Kids loved it. They were in charge of the story telling, their peers were in charge or evaluating. Stories got better with each attempt. Tons of fun, and a great way for students to learn the elements of a story and the necessity of evaluating the success of those elements in a story. Why? Because eventually they needed to present their personal stories in their speeches. Throw out the storytelling worksheets. Enter, Once upon a Time. Once they had a good handle on the game, I added these twists from "Knightly Tales" expansion pack.It was a perfect addition to our lesson. (High School--regular mixed skill classroom sophomores--ages 15-16)

I use with counseling
I work as a trauma therapist, and I use these cards with clients to help discuss difficult topics and to assess levels of hope and level of self-efficacy. It also helps develop problem-solving skills and expand one's idea of choice and options. Great to use at home with kids for the same reasons, without them ever even knowing they are learning new skills. Increases creativity. The freedom of the game allows for any type of mood to develop, so stories can be funny or serious, or both, and you can't purposely avoid an emotion that randomly comes up. I love that there are also heroic female endings included. I bought all the sets, but recommend this set and the 'create your own' set. I also use the kindle book that helps you to write stories, as it suggests some standard plot twists to get people started being creative.

Cool game for adult players
I purchased this game after seeing it at Emerald City Comicon 2014. They did not demo the game in full at comicon, but I had a rep do a short play for me. He recommended game play as a way to teach parts of speech and storytelling to children and so I decided not to purchase it. However, I later saw the game fully demoed on Will Wheaton's Tabletop (Season 2, Episode 3), and it was clear that the game is well suited to adult play. It's a lot of fun, and the blank cards allow you to throw in all sorts of interesting stuff! It's not an easy game for young children to follow or participate in, but young teens can play and it's a fun way to be supportive of young writers by allowing them to explore character development and storytelling devices. For adult game play, having the right group of players makes all the difference in the world - playing with different groups, I've participated in everything from a totally PG, traditional fairy tale to some really crazy, NSFW sex-and-murder-Novella. If you have a group of gamer friends who will really throw themselves into the fantasy of it all, this can make for a hilarious or terrifying night - it's up to you!

Awesome fun for grown-ups too!
Love this game, thanks to the podcast show Brothers Less Grimm! This card game is for all ages, excellent for the whole fam, easy to play, and no 2 stories will ever be the same. For us grown-ups, if you're not sure about buying Once Upon a Time card sets for yourselves and your friends, give Brothers Less Grimm a listen to hear how creative and amazing this game can be!

Wonderful addition to the original
Account holders wife here: This adds more cards to the original game. The artwork is the same as the originals so they blend right in. Just shuffle it in and play! I can't wait to sit down a play a game with this added! It arrived in less than a week and the kids were thrilled to get it so fast! It was smashed in transit but the cards were fine and the box is going to be tossed anyway. So don't buy this at the same time that you buy anything heavy. It got added to my subscribe and save order with some canned items. Order after your subscribe and save items ship just to be safe! :)

Excellent Addition
This expansion pack works well with the game and it brought a new flavor of adventure to our stories while expanding (I mean, it is an expansion pack) our options. Glad I purchased.

Though I liked the added content. My nieces preferred the enchanted version. But it did push her creativity skills to the test
